This was a great interview. Felt like a couple guys sitting around having a few beers bullshitting. So natural and enjoyable to listen to. Like him or hate him... Stern has a natural interviewing ability like no other imo.
I just finished listening to the replay show with this interview and felt I needed to post. I found Steve one of the most intelligent, interesting, well-rounded, unassuming, and genuine people Howard has ever had on his show. I loved this interview and Steve. May Steve continue years and years of sharing his many talents should we be so lucky.
Chet Atkins wore surgical gloves every time he took a shower to keep the hot water from softening his callouses. I'm a guitarist and I do the same thing. Also, a guitarist can never immerse his hands for a long period of time in a bath no matter tempting it is. Your callouses will just melt off and then you have to build them up again. Besides, only real guitarists develop callouses on their pinky.
Howard doesnt ask questions anymore. He just reads Wikipedia or whatever notes tata toothy gives him and then tells the guest about his life. Its a shitty technique and i wish he would stop.
how come all Italians are played by actors who aren't Italian in films and tv are they too fat and ugly ,I don't get it Steve Van Zandt is dutch American ,Marlon Brando is Irish American and they played Italians.
@woody8878 Little Steven is NOT Dutch-American. When he was a kid his mother got remarried to a man whose last name was Van Zandt, that's where he got the surname from. His step-father was Dutch. He's Italian.
This inspired me to look up the trailer for Lilyhammer. Looks fantastic.
