dude my rx8 has like.. 100k miles on it and it works just fine. not 1 problem. my piston engine BMW however SUCKED BALLS! was teh worst car i have ever heard of anybody owning or would ever own myself. the rx8 is unique, lasts forever if you know how to take care of it, and has an awesome sound. and yes, it also rapes you in the ass once before bed time. also it eats pistons for breakfast and converts them into awesomeness. nom nom nom bitch

My claims for lifespan are mostly stock vehicles so I guess if you feel that Mazda can't tune their cars you are an idiot, also there are plenty of bad owners out there and you don't hear the same sad stories about engines failing like the rotary does. FACT: Rotary fails and is replaced with a piston engine.

even if the motor died at 80k thats fine, get a new one for free from mazda all the way up to 100k. If someone doesnt take care of their rotary engine then yes it will have problems. You cant compare it to a piston engine like you keep doing, because believe it or not it is nothing like one.

Mine does that to sometimes. Even after i got an oil change. I checked with the dealer and its normal. The rotary engine burns alot of oil but hell its worth it. Such a unique car! And that sound! can't get enough. Witha modified echaust system its ridiculous how loud it gets. I haven't been pulled over yet for it but one of my friends who basically has the clone to my car (except for the color) has been for the noise

The rotary engine makes a very nice noise, and the stock exhaust on these cars has been tuned by mazda to give you the most horsepower and best sound.

i have this kit. it is loud, and i love it. it is really really loud. i have the mid pipe on also. tht way it not legal n i get a cel light. n it will absolutley make u spit flames.. alot. n u do gain 10-15hp with the full kit installed. n the exhaust gasses, u dnt really notice(well i dont). i put the kit on my evo8 n it also sounds loud n is a awsome kit. Thats not what it really sounds like. You have to get the rpms up to hear it, in high revs it's a little too loud and ridiculous for me. I have it on my car and I put the stock cats back on so it wouldn't drown out my stereo and choke me too death with the exhaust fumes. Look at my "Fire Breathing RX-8" video to hear it at 7200+ rpms.

It does free up HP with the catless pipe, I gained 12.5 rwhp on the dyno. With the stock cats back in my car sounds similar to a stock Porsche 911.
