if you do count it in 6/4 subdivide the measures into 16th notes(1 e and a, 2 and a etc.). the bass drum hits with open hi hat are on- a of 2, e of 4 , e of 5. snare is on  2, and of 3, 5, 6, and of 6. bars 5 and 6 change up occasionally. sick groove

maybe because he know the actually recording of his drums wouldnt sound as good as the actual song. You need a good sounding room + decent mics to get a good recording especially in a room made of concrete! Clearly you can see he is actually playing the drums.
