I can't get my photos to drag in either. I download all of my photos to kodak easyshare. I drag the photo to the desktop but can't drag into gimp. mac ox
I have tried EVERYTHING to get my photo to drag into place.....too many hours later I'm just about to give up (but it's frustrating because I KNOW this is a simple fix... it is the actual file I'm trying to drag in). The only thing that seems to work is to open file from the drop down menu but it is bringing my picture up to a huge image (not the 760X100). Any suggestions? Thanks!
@session036 - you need to be in the folder where you original image file is before dragging it in. You can't be viewing the image with windows gallery or anything like that, it has to be the actual file you are dragging in. It should definitely work once you click and drag the original file :)
@fogjuice - no problem at all! thanks to everyone for the nice comments
Thank you SO much. I've had gimp installed for a while, but never played with it much and layers just confused me. This was a great easy intro to gimp for me, and it helped me make the banner for my new etsy shop. Thanks a bunch!
But if you are lazy you can use something like that etsybannergenerator com :)
