@torment3d Umm pretty sure double blind is the ONLY way to remove bias. All the drug companies are in competition among each other, if something works, obviously one will want to own and sell it.

Huh. Seems the only "proof" for this is from studies that were done by Burzynski and his associates, which was never printed in any peer review journal. Not to mention that his "studies" have not gone past phase 2 clinical trials or phase 1 toxicity trials. Also, every other study done off Burzynskis payroll has produced ZERO positive results.

He claims up to around 30% cures with no remissions, and is one of the first doctors ever to be able to cure what were thought to be incurable cancers. People should be getting behind him more to really put this to the test in large numbers.

I hate that I live in a world where people will believe that autism is caused by vaccines, a claim thoroughly refuted by doctors and scientists all over the world whom printed their findings in peer reviewed journals, yet they are quickly willing to accept treatments like Burzynskis on anecdotal testament when he is unwilling to release all his findings or follow proper procedure.

Also, in order to get published in a peer review journal, they have to publish you. Most peer review journals won't publish alternative therapies, or therapies that aren't backed by the status quo......I'm pretty sure he probably submitted his findings only to have them not published....that is how it works in this business....
I'm pretty sure that he has only done trials for that long as a way around FDA suppression. I used another method that has been attacked by the FDA as well. Vitamin C infusions saved my life from dying from the Chemo itself. The chemo was killing my heart and there was no way I would have survived full treatment. I was saying goodbye to everyone before my third treatment with the chemo. But providence has it that I found a vitamin C clinic and the infusion I received was like a miracle!

It should infuriate us all as American citizens what government agencies like the FDA are getting away with. I was thoroughly repulsed by the guy who said that he wouldn't grant the right to test drugs to a person; that he would only allow testing by big pharma companies. I was initially excited about this. But I now have doubt about Dr. Burzynski's true motivation. My friend's brother with brain tumor called Burzynski clinic, and was told they don't take insurance and it's going to cost $100,000. Antineoplaston is some kind of peptide blend, then why not make it available as dietary supplement, thus bypassing FDA approval? Besides his success rate is only 25%. That's 1 out of 4 chance for cure with $100,000. That much money should cure 100%.
Scientists and scholars NEED to be given credit, and a voice over special interest groups. True knowledge empowers the future and should be highly stressed to new generations. Societies are in dire need to begin or continue doing their research before following protocols from administrations or funded institutes.
Obvious thing is that after pharmaceutical corporations accompanied by federal government failed to steal Dr Burzynski invention, are now trying new tactic to delay development and implementation of this method until his patents expire, and then take it for free. Those people have no regard for human life and suffering of cancer patients.

@Jedah51 I think you will find that the terminal patients who have been cured by antineoplaston treatment would say otherwise. This is patented treatment... it must do what is claims to do in order to receive a patent. Be careful of negative propaganda, on the net or anywhere else. If it saves just ten percent of terminal cancer patients then it is the greatest cancer treatment in history.

Independent scientists have been unable to reproduce his results and in an unorthodox turn he charges trial patients money to be part of his tests. Ordinarily, it's common practice to pay patients for their inclusion in clinical trials. He's dragged these trials out over 30 odd years now. Someone else should have found something.

This is the first time I am hearing this. As someone who's parent passed away from cancer if this is true it makes me more than pissed off at the FDA and doctors fail their patients and their job at large by not informing patients of all treatments. The FDA USED to be an organization that stopped snake oil salesmen. Now it also halts the progress of medicine so the US is actually behind Europe and 1st world countries.

Huh. Seems the only "proof" for this is from studies that were done by Burzynski and his associates, which was never printed in any peer review journal. Not to mention that his "studies" have not gone past phase 2 clinical trials or phase 1 toxicity trials. Also, every other study done off Burzynskis payroll has produced ZERO positive results.

In regards to the article, it's a good read - but it really doesn't claim that what he's doing isn't effective, it simply debates how he's going about it - which I think is ridiculous. He claims up to around 30% cures with no remissions, and is one of the first doctors ever to be able to cure what were thought to be incurable cancers. People should be getting behind him more to really put this to the test in large numbers.

Also, in order to get published in a peer review journal, they have to publish you. Most peer review journals won't publish alternative therapies, or therapies that aren't backed by the status quo......I'm pretty sure he probably submitted his findings only to have them not published....that is how it works in this business....

I'm pretty sure that he has only done trials for that long as a way around FDA suppression. I used another method that has been attacked by the FDA as well. Vitamin C infusions saved my life from dying from the Chemo itself. The chemo was killing my heart and there was no way I would have survived full treatment. I was saying goodbye to everyone before my third treatment with the chemo. But providence has it that I found a vitamin C clinic and the infusion I received was like a miracle!

It should infuriate us all as American citizens what government agencies like the FDA are getting away with. I was thoroughly repulsed by the guy who said that he wouldn't grant the right to test drugs to a person; that he would only allow testing by big pharma companies. I am thankful I've had the chance to watch this as I knew if I (or one of mine) should succumb to cancer I wouldn't want chemo or radiation. Thank you!

I was initially excited about this. But I now have doubt about Dr. Burzynski's true motivation. My friend's brother with brain tumor called Burzynski clinic, and was told they don't take insurance and it's going to cost $100,000. Antineoplaston is some kind of peptide blend, then why not make it available as dietary supplement, thus bypassing FDA approval? Besides his success rate is only 25%. That's 1 out of 4 chance for cure with $100,000. That much money should cure 100%.

This is patented treatment... it must do what is claims to do in order to receive a patent. Be careful of negative propaganda, on the net or anywhere else. Independent scientists have been unable to reproduce his results and in an unorthodox turn he charges trial patients money to be part of his tests. Ordinarily, it's common practice to pay patients for their inclusion in clinical trials. He's dragged these trials out over 30 odd years now. Someone else should have found something.
