one pattern i've noticed in J's songwriting methodology is the frequency of power chord chunks throughout the rhythm guitar parts. this is fairly unique to him, I believe, or at least he does it more than anyone else I've heard. it accents the rhythm nicely w/o standing out to the ear as melodic or dissonant outcroppings.

@DetectiveUtah of course they're strange being isolated in northern europe, descendants of the pillaging vikings filled w/ wanderlust. who moves to scandanavia, anyways? people move out of there but not to there unless they wanna smoke weed in amsterdam. i don't even think their lang. is rooted in latin so you get all kinda odd alphabetical combinations so i guess the roman empire didn't extend to that area cuz the vikings fought them off shortly before the dark ages.
