Man, this ending creeped me out as a kid. I remember asking my sister, 'What's gonna happen to Ginny now?' and she said, 'She's probably gonna get locked up cause that cop thinks she killed all those people.' And I was like, 'Why?! She's innocent! She didn't do anything!'

I felt like Ginny got cheated badly at the end of this.

The ending was screwed up. Having it be Ginny who was killing everyone made more sense than this twist which had lost of plots wrong with it.

@Popstar2b19 in the end you find out that ginny was not the killer, it was her best friend who ended up being her half sister. when they diched he party, including her half sister/friend. the sister decited to mke her next party hell geting back at her for her father having her, becaues thats what made the sisters family brake up. because the father had ginny. so the sister had the mask maker guy to make her look like ginny. so she can kill everyone and make sure they didnt miss her party.

This is a really creepy ending.

It does touch on a bit that most other slasher movies don't for the sake of an okay ending... which is, if the cops came and just witnessed you stab the killer or just finds all the dead bodies, they will essentially think you're responsible won't they?

this awesome horror film is out on DVD in the USA. However, he release of this DVD in October of 05 has the WRONG AUDIO on it due to copyright reasons which suck!! the music in the film is horrrrrrrrrrible as horrrible can be. this song actually made it though. I believe they are trying to re-release it with the original music which made it the classic horror film that it is. enjoy

Man, I always told people about this movie. I has one of the craziest endings ever. You so feel for the girl when she standing there with the knife with all the dead people in front of her. They also top it off with the voice saying Happy Birthday to me and then the sad/eerie song.

The Original soundtrack music was indeed a copyright thing. they did not and would not release the rights to the original when the DVD came out 3 yrs ago. It's a shame. the new music is horribly wrong and has no reasoning behind the music. its just fake background music. Im going to match the original soundtrack to the new widescreen movie on my mac with final cut pro. WISH ME LUCK! if it comes out great ill let you know and make a copy for whom ever.

Yes. Whomever manufactures and distributes the DVDs no longer print copies. On occasions, a DVD may go back in print. If you want the version with the original, creepy music...go with a factory original VHS copy.

Maybe one day they'll release a version with the original ending if it still exists or EVER existed. Also with the original opening music.

You can see when they show the back of the detective that it's a different actor. When they show his face that seemed to be the reaction to the first ending.

I really like the song that features on the DVD. It's the opening song which replaces the creepy piano music and it is called 'Out of the Blue' or something like that. I'd love to download it, but have no idea who sung it and don't think it's available anywhere either.
