Damn, everybody that saw this movie should read the Temptations biography book that was released in 2010. This movie was mostly fiction. The book explains in detail almost everything that went down and how it REALLY happened. I suggest you buy it if you're a true tempts fan.
Yeah david was a dick, but otis was controlling and overbearing... look at the disregard he had for paul williams... fuck just let him freaking go on tour with you, he doesn't have to perform or anything, but the least they could have done was make him feel like he was still a valued member of the group. Youre forgetting Eddie went solo in the 70's and had 4 number 1's as a solo artist and 15 top 20 R&B hits, he was appearing on Soul Train and he has even been credited for having the first disco record. He was singing classics, he had a much better career than Ruffin. They shouldve given more songs to the other Tempts,thats why Smokey shouldve stayed their producer because he was sharing the leads,and he made sure on the album you got a good amount of Eddie and Paul on the albums singing lead

I brought it from Barnes and Noble, and I love it. After reading it, you develop a greater love for the temptations story. Also, if you search it in "google books" there's a free sample up to chapter 4.

@CoryT9783 try to buy the book "Ain't Too Proud To Beg" by Mark Ribowski. It gives in depth detail about the history of the Temptations. A lot more than was put in the movie. I brought it from Barnes and Noble, and I love it. After reading it, you develop a greater love for the temptations story. Also, if you search it in "google books" there's a free sample up to chapter 4.
