It's incredible how crappy and uninteresting all these frozen vikings-germanic countries look compared to the South of Europe. This sucks; I'd never go there, I don't care if they have the highest Human development indexes, I rather live a few years less but in a nicer place.

I guess they were going for a different from usual look on Iceland? A lot of mistakes made... Only older people and families go to Þorrablót events like this. Also going durring the only two months in a year when there's snow and endless wind.

@169Phoenix I actually went to iceland. It was fun. Go in Nov where they have one huge music festival. In addition, I got to see the northern lights and enjoy some great food. In the summer, there is also a lot of activities. Bourdain says his thoughts about iceland and is a bit more respectful. If you like the outdoors it is amazing. If you don't , go somewhere else.
