they had an indycar test at talladega back in the 90's, my dad had to work at it as an usher, he said they were bumpin 250 mph, now i would like to see somethin like that again.
the cars probably go about 215 tops. even at Indy, where they are flat out, they only hit about 225mph. also consider that the Indy cars go through a chicane just before turn 3 then accelerate through the tri-oval then braking again.
the banking is high enough for them to almost get full throttle for enough time to reach it. I work for Turner Motorsprt, KONI Tuner Challenge Series? We reach nearly 200 at that weight and power, it wouldnt surprise me if they did go NEAR that fast.
