Hey everyone, i'm offering to trade my sword. i'm a nationally ranked black belt, and I've used this sword in competitions, and I just want someone to have something that they can really appreciate. Anyways it's $200 and up, full tang, and it's newly refurbished. I've had it since 1994, so i don't have a receipt of the price. So if anyone is interested, hit me up. And my sword is 1095 Carbon Steel. I will not accept a stainless steel sword.
no its not damascus steal, damascus steal refers to the steal they cule from the earth in spain, the japanese make their own by the steal they pull from the earth, the marks are from the folding of the blade and the hamon is from the clay tempering of the blade, those blades you havelook like ww2 blades used by japanese officers looking at the scabbards they have hooks in them and the design of the tsuba matches a ww2 officers sword
i have a suggestion to make to remove that rust from your sword. if you use a high grit sand paper it will take it off.
but oiling will slow the rust from spreading but it wont make it go away.
my friend had the same problem with his katana. he had ended up getting oil on the blade so it ended up staining it. after that we end up using a high grit sand paper and took that nasty rust off.
I saw a show on tv and they were in asia and a guy was hammering out Samurai Swords. Yeah you can see the marks in the blade in your video. Love the detail. Nice job DahCraw!
