Words cannot describe the impact of seeing and hearing him in person. He puts together a superb well paced concert, very emotional, often tender, then high energy, often amusing and funny stories, great sounds. What an amazing individual.

Tommy is one of my husbands idols...but, I would'nt recommed buying any of his merchandise from certifiedguitarplayer,com. The man who does the selling of Tommy's merchandise "Ed" double charged me for a $100.00 order which caused three of my checks to bounce costing me another $100.00 in fees. @clickclocks Oh I am in total accordance with you on this - and so is my pet parrot - but he's a violinist and even though he had this medley down and done quicker than he could say " Quadraphinian bollockisimistic " he suffers a bit from short string syndrome and will do until he gets his double bass out of the hock shop. You should hear his arrangement of Classical Gas for knitting needles and bagpipes - its a treat and he makes it look easy.

I personally find this stuff really hard to play. I can play a bit of "this and that", but whilst I agree with you on the flashy things, this guy has phenomenal skills. I have played guitar since 1987, and have seen Tommy live once. If God gave me two extra arms and another brain to coordinate them, and 25 hours in a day to practice.....it would still not be enough for me to be able to play this way. Tommy obviously adores The Beatles. He has always includes a Lennon and Macartney composition every time I have seen him live. There are few guitar soloist who indulge the audience like this - getting them to particpate. He is a great act. Go and see him if you get the chance.
