Wow... you got 8k on your timer? i got 4k. I beat Orphan in like 5 minutes. You only had to stagger him and spam magic untill its 999.9. percent. Then i spammed Last resort.. I summoned Alexander because he gets relentless after he ran out of stagger. I was left with 40,000, Then i just staggered him and used last resort. And eh was done.

Is it possible to come back and fight orphan again after killing him?

More ravagers means more dps.

After you get his chain gauge to 999%, would it not be smarter to switch to the paradigm Aggression (COM/COM/RAV)? It seems like that would kill him faster.

Just a note, Orphan IS vulnerable to status ailments before stagger. In fact, to get five stars, you pretty much HAVE to have deprotect and deshell on him in order to kill him on the first stagger.
