  • jonathan morris is the best

  • Is she in the christmas aldi advert?

  • from my year of birth - long live the 80's

  • The only thing I remember much about this series was the Grandad who lived next door who unceremoniously told everyone to, 'piss off.' Quite shocking for the back end of the 80's! No-one would bat an eyelid, nowadays.

  • Gilly Coman didn't die of Cancer she died of a Heart Attack

    R.I.P Gilly Coman

  • @iamaladycanyousaveme Youre absolutely spot on the good die young the evil people live longer a great comedy lets hope they bring this comedy back for a one off special thanks for your reply

  • R.I.P GULLY COMAN

  • RIP Gilly Coman xxxx

  • With one of those NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN LINES.

    "ama model"

    The LORD bless you, and keep you;

    The LORD make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you;

The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace,

    Now and forever more.

  • @rabt1952 and another immortal line uttered by the family priest "The good Lord will forgive everything. Except for turning Protestant".

  • R.I.P GILLY YOU WERE FANTASTIC IN BREAD YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN

  • supertruth77,

tell me, how did someone at the tender age of 14 come to be so bitter and twisted? You've only been on this planet for five minutes!!!

Rothery86 you are a pretentious twat

  • @stevethumbs would he not be 24? but i do agree with you

  • @SuperTruth77, the whole point of this TV show was that it was a light hearted comedy. Remember, she was a real life human being, somebodys child, wife and mother. You could be a bit more respectful.

Sad news. You will always be fondly remembered for making the nation chuckle. I hope you are at peace. R.I.P Aveline x :-(

  • Even at the age of 14 I recognised this as unreal, patronising, embarrassing shite. When did families last eat together like this- 1964?

Oh what, so the woman who mugged her way through the pathetic scouse caricature 'Avanine' is dead? Big f@*&ing deal...

  • @SuperTruth77 LOL rebel without a clue - isn't teen angst amusing?

  • @SuperTruth77 At the age of 14, I loved Bread and was hooked on it! Had a big crush on Adrian....

  • absolutely stunned to hear Gilly coman who played Aveline has just died from a heart attack aged only 54.

  • Im gutted that i missed the last episode of Bread on uk gold today, does anybody have that episode good times

  • Bread was Shite.

  • im from liverpool and i have a framed photograph signed by the whole cast in 1991 if there are any bread fans interested in buyin it. send me a message or leave a comment on my chanell. thanks

  • Was bread filmed in a real street , and do you ever see some of the old cast great days

  • @MegaDave1973 ye was filmed in a real street in dingle in liverpool

  • Do people in Liverpool still talk about this comedy

  • @MegaDave1973 Yes.Elwick street i think it's called.But I have to say,this is far,far from being one of the best British comedies.

  • @kickinoverya I totally agree with you i wish they could bring bread back. Its on uk gold on weekdays mornings good times

  • @numberonebeatlesfan9 hi how much you askimg for it ?

  • @cryerdales alright mate my old username was numberonebeatlesfan9. and i said i had a framed pic signed by all the cast of bread. just wondering if your still interested cheers

  • @adayinthelife1967 hi, how much do you want for it ?

  • @cryerdales i would expect nothing less than 250 pound. as its a collectors item and will never loose value.

  • My family are equal to Bread's Boswell family and I have a brother named Adrian too. We are five, one girl and four boys but we are from Hull not Liverpool and Yeah I was a model wasn't I....

  • I heard that Paul and Linda McCartney appeared in an episode. Does anyone know if their appearance on Bread is on Youtube?

  • waaah! I miss this!!!

  • Dear BBC,

I am inquiring as to the process which deemed this video clip worthy of the label "classic comedy". I await your reply.

    Sincerely,

    Shane Rothery.

  • Oi! shut it! i grew up on this

  • Dear Shane,

Thanks for your enquiry. Don't worry your little cotton socks about what "process" deemed this clip worthy of the label 'Classic Comedy'. You should be out drinking cheap cider and chasing fanny. It's a far more constructive way to expend your energy.

    Sincerely,

    The BBC Team.

  • @rothery86 get a life and watch the whole sereies

  • Love this show!

  • used to watch this when my family was stationed in the cotswalds. loved it and hated we never got to watch the last two years.

  • what a fantastic comedy this was i would love to see justin lee collins reunite this cast

  • loved this comedy espicially billy boswells car

  • love this classic comedy you cant beat the eighties

  • love this got the dvds joey is my fav peter howitt played a good part didnt like his replacement graham bickley

  • Could'nt agree more. It's never the same. All he did was say things through gritted teeth. The newer Avaline was also nowhere near as pretty and the first.

  • I als like the youngest, he always gets a slap behind the back of his head for no reason.

  • I when mum prais for a job and dole money.

  • i ve heard that there is more dvds coming out but wont be til 2011 i really hope they are coz i have series 1 to 4 but from wot i seen it aint the ful series really do miss this show

  • (Grandad opens front door)

    "Piss off!"

    (Grandad slams shut front door)

  • classic simply classic

    thanks M..for share.. :D

  • its ron from goodnight sweetheart!!

  • strike me down if Aveline's voice isn't the reason the rest of the country hates scousers

  • Classic!

  • Love Bread .. my nan is from Liverpool and has a bit of Ma Boswell in her ...

    Great series ...

  • I have this episode on tape.

I love Joey Boswell, it's a shame that he was gone after the fifth series, or was it the sixth?

  • He didn't go. The actor that played him was changed, as was the actress who played Aveline

  • I loved this! Even my mother who was forever laughing watching this!

  • billy at the start istalking about a used condom he baught whilst at work

  • did u see mam tryin not to laff wen filim haha but u cant help yea self laffin at bizzys

  • She said priest! you muppet, not police!

  • classic.

  • im abit young to rember when it first came out but my family always watched the re runs and i loved it!

  • A wonderful comedy - still brilliant today, have all episodes on video, love nellie!

  • lol I love this show! I live about 20 minutes away from where this was filmed. The actual street isnt called Kelsall Street, it's called Elswick Street. I took a drive down today and "omg" how much its changed!. If any of you live local, look on Google Earth for directions and take a look. I must admit, I was well made up when i parked outside number 30 Elswick street. I was thinking to myself omg!!! Joey Boswell has parked here lol was great fun!

  • you tart haha

  • Classic comedy. You can't beat Liverpool for humour. I love it!

  • I love this show - a classic

  • Come on im only 16 and even i appriciate how funny this show is

  • aww, I used to love this programme!

  • Our aveline the aspiring model who ends up marrying the prist and the 1st Joey was integral 2 the show and once he left and was replaced the show sort of went 2 the dix-it was all abou JACK and his manic dpressive manifetations-tarts like Freddie'd LiLoLill.

  • whats the name of this show

  • bread

  • i dont understand this noobs

  • oioi......stations....you scouse haters...what shit part you from,not a very nice bit i reckon!!!!

  • That Carla Lane s a right moaning twat, funny? I'd rather file my own teeth down with a shitty file.

  • Dickhead, did you think the 80s was fun then? It bloody wasn't, certainly wasn't much to laugh about. Bloody Thatcher.

  • Shit humour from a shit part of the country

  • Actually, it's very intelligent humour, and it's set in on of the greatest cities in the country. There is no way in hell that London and its people are as resilient as the Scousers.

  • *giggles madly* British humor kills me. *love*
