  • This song is so beautiful, sometimes i just think its my imagination

  • Incredible. I watched the first 10 minutes of the film, and I just HAD to stop to listen to this song some more. I can't wait until I finish the movie; this song gives me the feeling that this will be one of the most beautiful things I'll ever see in my life.

  • I was reading the book and playing this at the same time. It was so surreal.

  • so beautiful, i´ve got tears in my eyes.

the thin red line is one of the best war movies ever.

  • @94Malarkey I would remove the "war" from your sentence :)

Although it takes place in a war the movie is so much more.

  • Way tooooooooooooo short... But heavenly indeed!

  • Shame on the Academy!!! Hans Zimmer deserved the Academy Award for this piece of art. And for "Inception" aswell

  • This is wonderful, surely the best movie soundtrack ever composed, stunningly beautiful and moving !

  • Download SoundTap, its a streaming audio recorder. I just used and made an mp3 from this vid. Super easy.

  • Where is it that we were together? Who were you that I lived with? The brother. The friend. Darkness, light. Strife and love. Are they the workings of one mind? The features of the same face? Oh, my soul. Let me be in you now. Look out through my eyes. Look out at the things you made. All things shining.

  • @QF483 Thank you! I only use photos I find from Google and this is my second version of this track so I was struggling to find anything!

  • amazing

  • idk why they excluded this from the soundtrack,

  • Wonderful music. And the other wonderful and missing part of the soundtrack is Witt's death. Please, try to please me and upload it here. Thanks

  • @chikito72 Sorry I don't have that. If anyone wants to try and find it, I believe it's called 'A Man Himself Can Be Great'. If you do find it, please share it!

  • @TheJohnnymango Here is Witt's death (you have to listen from minute 5:06) : watch?v=wCOw0R-pXUA

  • @chikito72 Many thanks for this.

  • I've been looking for this song forever! Did you find a torrent for it or is it off a CD?

  • @1unitedfan I found it on a website through Google. The laptop with the mp3 has since died and I have not been able to find it since. Check the video info for hints on searching for it.

  • @TheJohnnymango rip it using keepvid.com - gotta spread the track, it's so amazing!

  • Superb!! The Thin Red line is a masterpiece for all the senses..

  • It is only the dead who have seen the end of war -Plato

  • Thank you for this very nice piece,

Only one wish from me. I wish you could change the 3rd photo with something a bit less graphic. Keep it military if you like, perhaps the face of the J. soldier. A subtle change there would make this a 10 out of 10 for me.

    Best

  • If I die, I want this song at my funeral...

  • @IBILacIKx dont u mean, when u die?

  • @BrickUnit Yeah, silly typo

  • Als ich dieses Lied zum ersten Mal hörte, war es Liebe auf dem ersten Blick...

    Es ist einfach nur Traumhaft:)

  • This the most beautiful melody I have ever heared!

(I love this version, but the tribal-choral original version is unbeatable)

  • ridiculously beautiful

  • einfach nur gut !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Can I download this for free?

  • There's a web site called 'Zamzar', it allows conversion of the URL (FLV file format) into almost any file format. Im turning it into an MP3 as I type this. Hope it helps dude.

  • Thank you for the album info. Johnnymango!!! If I heard this kind of song at Church growing up I'd still be going every Sunday :-)

  • @Malocosa

If your church would've present Jesus truly, you still would :p

  • yes! ive been looking for this version FOREVER!! THANK YOU

  • To everyone asking about this track:

The only album it's available on is 'Music for Films' (2001) by Klaus Badelt. There are two tracks on there listed as The Thin Red Line 1 + 2. Previously, I was able to find a copy of this but I am now unable to access it.

I'm sure if you search you will be able to find it.

  • @TheJohnnymango Dude upload the second track? :/ Thanks for uploading this though. Hated the movie, love Klaus Badelt!

  • @Regnar665 You hated the movie?! Watch it again! Just joking - it seems to divide opinion. The second track I think was just the version of God yu tekkem laef blong mi from the film. It has a choir singing and the orchestral part builds behind it. It's on YouTube.

  • Where can i get this? Is this available on cd?

  • You will hear a music from The PAcific of T.Hanks and S.Spilb. ist kind like smt like that.

    It will begin in14.march.10

  • Thank you dude for uploading, this is the version I was looking for!

  • Great :)

Instrumental version without sfx like mine :)))

Sorry for bothering you, but do you have a "clean" version of pieces; when Sgt. Welsh is giving morphine to the dying soldier and death of Pvt. Witt.?

  • Ok, I found it out myself. It's the beginning of The Thin Red Line Suite. Track is about 35 minutes long.

  • So you have found clean versions of the other songs you mentioned?

To those who have asked, I will need to get access to my personal laptop before I can advise any further on this recording :-)

Nice to know that other people out there appreciate this music.

  • No, unfortunately not. The rest of suite contains music present on the OST. Now I see my latest comment could be understood in this way. I meant only the instrumental version of Jisas Yu Holem Hand Blong Mi.

To all who want this song: either find TRL Suite and crop the beginning (using Audacity f.ex.) or download and convert the FLV file to mp3 (f.ex. with "Free Video to MP3 Converter").

  • @TheJohnnymango

where can I find that 35 minute version?

  • @Hans2202 There is an unofficial album of music called The Thin Red Line Suite. It's all the music from the film, as it appears in the film. The quality of some tracks isn't great but it's worth listening to. It's fairly easy to find.

It isn't actually a 35-minute version of this song though.

At least this is what I think BimberMistrz was talking about.

  • @BimberMistrz

PM me and tell me where you found it please.

  • @Johnnymango

What healylegend07 and I are saying is this: We would be willing to pay for downloadable .mp3 versions of this music (assuming of course that you have rights to it and/or paid for it yourself).

  • thnk you so much for posting this...one of the best pieces of all time and it was never released!!?? is it available anywhere at all?? thanks again

  • Best movie soundtrack

  • It's great!!

I was looking for this version so much time ago... where did you find it?

    Thanks :-)

  • Fantastic pictures and fantastic music.

    Thank you for the upload.
