Hi Matt my gf offer me the T1 with no head ;-) she is the nicest...as i use the 70-200 lis f4 i send it back and getting the T2 kit tomorrow , your great review briefed me Well! Thanks
@quintano20 It is extremely rigid and stable. For any usual DSLR kit - it will be perfect. if you are using a very heavy kit - like medium format - you may want something heavier.
hmmm, there are plenty of very good name brand tripods out there for $100 to $200 like manfrotto, giottos, induro, benro.i know a friend who has had a manfrotto for years and it still preforms pretty good.
@hoddo1812 yeah mate, premium materials design and precision manufacturing equals premium price! Not cheap, but price/quality value Is still there, id say better value than a tacky $50 no name one.
@hoddo1812 mate, honestly, it is the nicest, sturdiest and most rigid tripod I have tried out in this size range. Some of the super huge and heavy ones are more stable, but this is phenomenal.

Wow! That's £577 (nearly AUD$900) here in the UK. As beautiful as it is I think I'll leave this one on the shelf!

Cheers Matt. That's even more impressive for this tripod. From 30cm to around 6 feet, compact, light weight, sturdy...very good.
With the legs fully extended how solid are the legs and is there much bowing of the legs when you place a heavy bag on the column end?
Thanks once again.

Thanks Matt, a good insight into the gitzo. One question, to understand how high the tripod can extend to, how tall are you?

@hoddo1812 I am a GIANT! :) I am about a inch short of 6 foot.
