  • no one could listen to this song without Crying a River

  • lately I'm watching a LOT of videos with 0 dislikes. I think I'm on the right path. You are as well, since you're here ...

  • such a great sax solo

  • I want to hear more of this kind of Lulu.

  • Jeff Beck's playing could probably make my singing sound better. But I doubt he'd go for it.

  • Are any of you aware of that guitar player's skills here????

  • @paullubliner yes, that's why i'm here! don't get to hear Jeff do a whole lot of comping, but he's a master at that too. His solo on this one rips me apart too.

  • After hearing this version and Julie London's, I really don't like the Joe Cocker version.

  • Can't believe this is the little girl who had a hit with "To Sir With Love" back in the mid 60's and was in the Sidney Poitier film. This is really good. I love it when an artist transcends what they were originally known for -- you have to respect it. I do. No one can say Lulu is just a has-been pop singer now. Same goes for Cyndi Lauper -- her recent blues album is great. Mary Hopkin recently released a new lp that was also terrific. When is Petula Clark going to do a jazz album?

  • @lastrada52 Sure, some of her earlier pop material isn't appropriate for an adult, but Lulu was already a great vocalist by the time she was 15. Check 1964's "Here Comes the Night".

  • A wee wummin wi a big big voice!!

  • Whaaaa this is real !!

  • This is fairly faithful to the original - and best - 50s version by Julie London ...

  • This is the audio off part of DVD "Red, White & Blues" by Mike Figgis, one of a set called Martin Scorsese presents the blues. SMADVD035. Recorded at Abbey Road studios March 13th 2002.

  • Where can I find more Lulu music ? ********

  • @shelbyvision CD Universe

  • Like the scarecrow in the wizard of oz said: "Now I know I've got a heart...I can feel it breaking." Move over Billie Holiday. Thanks for this.

  • like this version ,thanks for posting

  • where did the video go?

  • 流石ベック!

  • She is a fabulous singer.....underated........Love Lulu she is the BEST!!

  • the embedded code is no good. it says its invalid

  • Wow! What can't she sing; what can't he play. Check out God Bless the Child (Jeff Beck & Joan Osborne)...exceptional

  • @phaknA Any idea where I can find a recording of that?

    robo hippy

  • @robohippy -I got it off a 4 track dvd w/ 2 BB King songs, this one and I think an Otis Rush number. It was a free promo from Best Buy.

  • The sax player is the great Peter King, not the guy in the photo.

  • Scorsese film Red&White british blues ( 7 film this is the 6th)
