LMAO this is the worst version of this song i have ever heard! LOL but I love thier try ar it. Thanks for the vid it was great to see them all fluffy jumpers and all!
it was a sound check ..they were dicking around ..... many cure songs are some of the most complicated songs to play live around ..... like i said ...they are dicking around....
omg I'd kill to see the soundcheck from Miami for the swing tour...I was there for that one...Subway song and Robert Taking requests from the 30 or so others there! It was awesome!
Yeah !! You are right !! I never paid attention to the first sequences (waiting for what it is posted for) !! It is great !! Really great stuff !! Wish to hear a little bit more of Gone from Birmingham !! Is there some left ?? Or other songs ??
yepp it was. In 1996 many soundchecks were opened for fans. Next to me there were about 30 other curefans... However, the gig as such was strange: the last of the Swing tour with very poor attendance. The England 1996 tour was a desaster for the band. Not to compare with Germany or Frane...
Glad to know the details. Well, I have always thought that The Cure had a mass appeal and more genuine fans outside England particularly in places like France and South America. In England bands such as Joy Division and The Smiths are given more respect than The Cure. It is just The Cure's music has got a more universal feel to it and they are much more diverse than the aforementioned bands. Well, they are incomparable.
@curevideo You're lucky to have been there. I still think "WMS" was a fine album - nowhere near as bad as people say it is (I really liked "4:13 Dream" too). There were poorly attended shows in France as well - during the Swings tour and the Dream Tour. I've heard that the Toulouse show had something like a 900 people crowd. I just don't get it - why Cure had to go through a low point in their career when they were still a phenomenal live band, playing 3 hour sets with rarities etc...:(
this really kiks ass !!
