This so called restorer is a very BAD example. he is in the process of ALTERING the painting. he paints like a painter, but doesn't RESTORE like a restorator-conservator does. I wonder if he attended a restoration school or a fine arts school ?

@chappbe You are NOT altering a painting if you are only retouching small DEFECTIVE areas (you see we are strictly working on a filled area, with removable colours and NEVER overpainting the original). The retouching technique can be both visible or invisible according to various reasons. You really need to read some serious texts about restoration: I suggest you "The Restoration of Painting" by Knut Nicolaus (a Flemish restorer), to begin. Your criticism is awful and unfounded
