  • lol nope

  • they literally ruined the car -___-

  • this is the kind of shit that needs to come to north american markets....damn is it ever sexy!!!

  • pena que não é fabricado no brasil, seri um sucesso total.

  • I brought a brand new scirocco in 2009 and it was a disaster. It never drove well with a steering wobble at 100k. The dealer tried to fix it and failed many times. Then they crashed it on a test drive (with 1500k on the clock). But I had to demand that they replace it as the repair job was simply amature! And get this, the new one still had the same steering wobble.

I gave up on VW after the VW dealer gave up on it too. I bought a 2nd hand BMW Z4 coupe which has been trouble free.

  • after 16 years, the hero finally returned...

  • Not sold in America, like the United States? How about La America, I got hooks up in Mexico, like in GDL. Would love to get my hands on a SCRIRROCCO, convert them into California emissions and sale them for top dollar. I ust ot have a 78&83, love this vw.

  • aha that intro music is the same as digitalrev

  • SMH, should've kept the grill!

  • GAPING!!

  • Love the shot at 0:09

  • pick mine up tommorrow, 2.0 tsi dsg

  • Breadvan with attitude

  • my dream car

  • заебатый ..

  • Bring back that concept model please... and bring this car to Mexico right now!

  • I actually might have bought one if it had the concept front-end, the one it ended up with is way to basic, the car lost is wow factor without this feature! Who's making the decisions over there?

  • the front looks copied from audi.. so if you like it, buy an audi.

  • @meedic Well maybe, if you dont like Audi's, like me? Anyway, it dosent look like Audi at all to me.

  • @kregzdeM3 no? the shape of the grill is exactly the same.

  • @meedic It's not. Also, the production model looks so much better than any Audi.

  • @meedic vw and audi work together dummy

  • @baigaiz112 i know that, but no matter, they are two different brands. so whats your comment about?!

  • this is the best looking VW ever, loved it!

  • @kurziv69

    Karmann Ghia, nuff said...

  • why would anyone want to buy a Golf when we have this now?? : )

  • Because it has more doors and is cheaper.

  • wow thats a terrible color green

  • sounds like a boy.....

  • 2 million baht in thailand which means about 57 000 USD in the US

  • Yes, but VW has decided not to import the Scirocco to the USA.

  • Will there be any new design for 2010?

  • whats the price (in dllrs) of this car and when id gonna arrive in america??

  • pretty sure its not coming to US

  • with some toys it might be 25-30k

  • Cant wait for R model...looks so much better!

  • Amazing looking car, lot of them in the UK, a bit of a Sheep in Wolfs clothing but very nice looking....

  • Why design a sexy coupe and then put a diesel engine in it? (Alfa Romeo has done the same shit.)

Are some people actually stupid enough to buy diesel coupes?

  • I intend to buy a scirocco 2.0 tdi, it's almost impossible to drive big engine sport cars on 98 octanes gas in Portugal, wich cost 1,5€ per liter, imagine buying gas at 4,5 USD the gallon, he he he.

  • big engine? 98 octane?

we are talking about a a VW scirocco, not a ferrari. 95octane will do.

Over here (germany) u save about 1000euro over 50.000km or 3000euro over 100.000km by choosing the 2.0l diesel instead of the 2.0l petrol.

And if u compare the 2l diesel to the 1.4l petrol, petrol is cheaper for the first 120.000km (!).

In my experience petrol engines are just so much more fun to drive. (and much more pleasant to the ear)

  • I wouldnt consider buying the 1.4 petrol, it's the same as the golf, so the 2.0 petrol was the way to go :) and that one is indeed expensive to run, i'm with you regarding petrol for fun, that's why i have a r5 gt turbo and a honda s2000 ap1, the honda was my main car until now, but it's just too damn expensive to run on a daily base, that's why going for the 2.0 tdi scirocco.

  • awsome

  • this is my dream car!!! its lush!!

  • Perfect excelent Wolksvagen iroc

  • With VW, never lose control

  • damn shame it won;t be sold in America

  • @knytrydr73 Hahahahahahahhaaaaa

  • @knytrydr73

no need sold it on American, poor car you destroy it with your driving crappy xD

  • @knytrydr73 That's why we call you .... "American"

  • looks fucking amazing looks alot better in real life tbh :)

  • they made a beutiful car then refined it and took away its best features..... well done vw

  • Awsome car!

  • ugly??, do you undertand in cars??? lol i love it

  • @fan2lalgerie

    its so a awesome desing

  • ugly...and was this narrated by a 12 year old boy?

  • dude, i think it is a women voice.

  • If they hadn't changed the grill I it would have looked better.

  • it lost the big open grill because it was adopted my audio instead.

  • soo expensive for what it is

  • @danieleriver i have one of these and i can tell you now. IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY I SPENT. I have the 2.0 L tsi and it is faster then you may think it is. There is also a new interior for 2010 which my scirocco has. You saying that also means you have never driven the car.

  • @danieleriver Drive it and you change your mind, like everyone else..

  • @danieleriver Buy a Mazda Rx8 or an Alfa Romeo Brera and see the VW cry.

  • @danieleriver it's cheaper than a golf of the same spec.

  • si j'avais un char...

  • vasile ce zic astia mah?

  • e in engleza =))

  • o zis cai prea scupa pentru noi :))

  • They will bring this scirocco to the U.S. in the end of 2010 as a 2011 model i think.

  • vw makes most of their money in america from jettas and passats. There'd be no point to sell it in america.

  • no. its an AWD

  • is this fwd or rwd

  • Its a GTI underneath so it's fwd.. But it should handle great.

  • Concept was well better. Looked more agressive.

  • y isnt this car in america

  • im guna take a guess and say that it wont live up to our safety standards...i dont know for sure though.. id buy it with that green color

  • i doubt it has to do w/ safetey cuz VW hav real gud safety systems in their cars.

  • ER....are you aware safety standards are just as high, if not higher in Europe than in the US? Emission standards are way higher here too.

  • are you sure about that? i'm not - but i do know when cars are singly imported to the US from UK time and $ goes into safety and emissions. plus US can't have all of the diesel cars that europe can b/c of emissions?? like i said, i'm not sure.

  • The safety tests and emission tests are different and not compatible, doesn't mean they're less safe! Look at our cars in Europe, they're much smaller and so safety is stricter (take the Smart for example, very safe even in a collision with a much heavier vehicle) Diesel cars have much, much, much lower emissions than petrols of course, so not sure where you're coming from with that statement! A lot of Euro diesel emit less C02 than the Prius.

  • you're probably right, 99% of US cars are nothing to get excited over. we're all so anti-diesel it's pathetic.

ship the new diesel fiesta over for me, will you? i'll be in scotland within the year - any suggestions for a mid range family car?

  • The new Fiesta does over 80 MPG, I'm sure with my skilled ECO driving i could get 85 to 90 MPG! Mid range family car?.....hmmm plenty to choose from, you need to be more specific really, what is a priority, mileage? Space? how many seats? etc i could point you in the right direction :)

  • that's insanity!

well myself, my wife and our baby. i was thinking medium suv (vw tiguan?), estate, or mondeo sized 4-door. i'd like decent mileage (38 maybe?), but also would love decent performance. i drive an 06 vw gti 2L turbo petrol now. the size is a bit rough, but i love everything else about it.

    thanks for your advice, cheers!

  • VW are very popular, well built and reliable. 38 MPG can be expected from petrol car, but everyone in the UK has a diesel if they need a big car. Expect your average diesel family car to get between 45 and 65 MPG. VW do a 1.9 litre TDI, fast and frugal (not crazy fast of course!) Plenty of turbo diesel family cars with similar sized engines ranging from 1.6 litre to 2.0 litre max, most do similar mileage too. New Fiat Multipla 1.9 TDI is good, 3 seats in front and 3 in rear! lots of choice...

  • i appreciate it, thanks again! we'll go diesel for sure.

  • No problem you're welcome, let me know how you get on. If you're going to Scotland don't forget to pack wet weather gear! 360 days of rain a year!

  • It's worth baring in mind that while diesels are indeed more efficient when compared with the equivalent petrol, fuel prices often make up for the difference here. However you do normally pay less road tax since they usually emit less Co2.

  • C02*

  • they needed another hot hatch to lure people who didnt want a gtI

  • Wow, the front of an old Mitsubishi galant married to the back of a 1992 Colt, with a golf inbetween. Ugly.

  • Made in Portugal ! Nice .

  • how much does it cost?

  • VW interiors are getting boring same old black

  • I like the Concept Better....

  • concept looks better but that is still a nice looking car

  • that green one waaaaaaaaaaaaay better

  • which one is better audi tt or scirocco?

  • TT, no doubt !

  • i like the green one better

  • Very nice car. I took a look at one last week. I would buy on but it's too slow. I hope they eventually bring out a HOT version of the scirroco

  • come on please...This is a car not a 24h gt40...focus speed demon!

  • Er why reply by stating the obvious? I've just said I won't buy it because it's not fast enough... and you responded with a dumb comment IN AGREEMENT with what I'm saying.

I love the styling and design of the car but it's simply not fast enough for me. Now if this had the Audi S3 internals then I'd be all over it, but it doesn't. The 2.0T simply isn't fast enough for me to consider.

  • cet voiture roule au maroc ca fé longtemps

  • i just heard about this car and i thought i was for sure going to get the euro focus that is finally coming to the states in late 2010. but now i'm not sure. especially if vw decide to release the awd v6 version of this.

  • a german car made in portugal

  • ehm...that's the way industries work y'know..

and your shoes are made in china..so what!

  • Io la amo... e la possiedo... 2.0 TSI ti adoro!! MUHAAH!

XD

  • i love yoooouu...

  • I wouldn't mind at all owning the 160 or the 200 PS version combined with the DSG gearbox! That prototype front grill was pretty impressive, but VW being VW they made the production model a bit more boring.

    >>

  • Fans of the old Sciroccos are disappointed about the design of this new one. At least it looks better than the Golf. But the new Scirocco still looks more like a Golf than a Scirocco.

  • true: the "new" is a mixture of 3/4 front of the Opel Tigra'94, side Golf 5 compressed, back of the Peugeot 207/307 or Honda Civic'92

    it's looking like a 90's car...

    >>

  • just bought mine today, got it in salsa red, which looks gorgeous with the black trim and front grill... pick it up tuesday!

  • Saw my first real life Scirocco today and I must say they are pretty sexy! :P

  • looks awesome. hope we get them in the states. probably not though.

  • Does anyone else see the resemblance to the Alfa Romeo 147? Or is it just me?

  • yea i work 4 vokswagen an when i seen it i said it looks like an alfa from the bk

  • concept, not consept my bad.

  • consept ftw

  • she talks like if she had a stick up her ass

  • LiVeFrEeAnDeNjOy

    > she talks like if she had a stick up her ass

You have one all the time so you know, right?

  • dont hate just telling my opinion

  • LiVeFrEeAnDeNjOy:

    > she talks like if she had a stick up her ass

    > dont hate just telling my opinion

In fact you're right, she talks in a very annoying way and in terms of standing this it's just a doddle before she starts laughing.

If I were a captain on some cruising ship and she was a passanger, I'd be the first to kick her outboard.

  • coupe? isn't it a hatch back?

  • I like the new grill better

  • mito comes in less than 19k euros with electronically adjastable suspension i doupt if sciroco can chase that price , ( ofcourse it cant chase it it in track )

but dont forget a litle thing here , mito is a "city car" sciroco is a coupe

i d love to see an alfa GT with DNA +Turbo :D

  • u have no idea how pissed i am that this isn't coming to america . . .

  • Alfa MiTo 1.4 155hp VS VW Scirocco 1.4 160hp

    * Which one?

    * Why?

  • why is this not on the canadian market!!!!! want one!!! grrrr!!!!!

  • I had a '79, '80, and '81 Scirocco. I've had a 280zx, Mustang GT, and a couple of SUVs. The Sciroccos were the most fun of all the cars.

  • i agree that its not very good looking, but this is like a better, faster version of the great Golf. So VW have re-created something for the feel of driving, rather than everyday practicality

  • shit :d;d;d:D:D:D

  • The 1 series is one of the ugliest cars ever made, but it is a fun car.

  • hmmm 1 series bmw over this anyday

  • New BMW's are ugly as hell...

  • Thats in your opinion. I think the same about rabbits and golfs.

  • All BMW look the same

  • it sais in topgear magazing there gonna put the buggatti veyron's engine in this, MENTAL!!!

  • What? You didn't offend me (I am the 'other guy'!). I was just asking you if your opinions about Alfa reliability were because you owned one or just because you heard it. Apparently not just because you heard it. One more thing: did your brother buy that Brera second hand? Or was it new? Appreciate your opinion!

  • Alfa MiTo 1.4 155hp VS VW Scirocco 1.4 160hp

    * Which one?

    * Why?

  • scirocco of course. Great engine + great gear box + great looks = great car

  • Hmm... but the same on the MiTo, isn't it? I'm really confused...

  • no dude all alfa romeos r unreliable.

  • Do you have one? Or do you know someone who owns one and had problems? Yours is a common opinion, but when I ask people why, they never speak for themselves, it's always "someone who knows someone that had an unreliable Alfa". I owned a Lupo 1.0 and not only the engine was Skoda and it did 10L/100km, but also the electric windows never worked properly and the airbag indicator light was always on. And now I hear from car mags that Alfa unreliability is left in the 80s and 90s. What do you think?

  • my brother has a normal Brera not the s model, he sold it away after 10 months cus of leakage problem. I'm sorry if I have offended u, was just trying to advise that guy.

  • I know a lot of people that understand more about cars than me see this videos, and that's why I'm asking this question.

I'm buying a new car, and here in Portugal the Mini Cooper S full extras and the Scirocco 200 hp will be close in their price tag. I know they do the same 0-100km/h (0-62mph), but are they equally fun to drive? Can the Scirocco 200 hp match the Cooper S in a twisty road? I would appreciate if you could answer me as a "reply" so I know I've been answered. Thank you a lot!

  • i cant say anything about the scirocco, but i will vouch for the mini cooper S. i believe the mini is a great car and i think it could out handle a gti, in an auto cross race.

  • get the scirocco dude.

  • im sorry i DONT like it

  • And say what u like, but I know that VW will put the V16 from the buggati Veyron in this car.

  • ese es el coche que me comprare

  • DISGUSTING.

That's not anything like the Scirocco or the Corrado. It's a hatch. Not a coupe. AND The nurator's voice is annoying.

  • siroco made in PORTUGAL

  • it will only be sold in europe

  • WTF is a coup-A??

  • thats how you say it properly you ignorant yank.

  • Fog breathing Nancy boy.

  • Its not coupe-a... its coupé. Means something that has been cut in french... as in a 4 door with two doors cut off.

  • Thank you.

I don't know what ugly rat crawled up Nigel's cunt, but I don't see why a simple question need result in insult to my country.

In America it's pronounced coop. The E is silent. And it means a car with two doors and a fixed roof. I drive a 1994 300ZX coupe for example.

  • to me 'WTF is a coup-A??' doesn't sound like a 'simple question' it sounds like your angry at them saying coupé like that.

  • You must have been looking for a reason to get pissed off to invent any of these "sounds". I don't give a rats fuck how they say it. I'd just never heard it pronounced that way.

  • Wow, insult to your country? Really?

As a fellow American, I would like to apologize for StephenStinson. I assure you we are not all blundering, offensive, knee-jerk reactionary twats. There are still quite a few of us who retain a sense of humor.

    You'll kindly disregard the rest.

  • So you think being called an ignorant yank is some kind of joke? You go ahead and laugh. I'd rather have a spine and defend myself. You are very welcome to fuck off now.

  • I Want THAT CAR...!!!..please tell me that it will be for sale in America

  • Great looking thing! If you see it in reality, the hood looks even longer. And it's starting at only 22k. Probably completely striped-down though...

  • looks like a fiat, sounds like a fart in a dustbin.

  • yeah, much like you...

  • looks like a peugeot, no?

  • I agree. It kinda does look like a Peugeot.

  • i liked the style of my old Scirocco much better... it was sleek, this is too ubrban... too many look-alikes. ;-(

  • I've never like any VW since they stopped making the original Beetle......But this new Scirocco has caught my attention. I love the hatchback/sportscar look. The seats however look painful.

  • back seaters will have to tilt their head forward since the roof slopes down. very uncomfortable. If it had the head room of the GTI, then it would be perfect.

  • Is this car bigger than a gti? Do they have these in Canada?

  • it looks a lot longer than the GTI, dunno about height though.

  • i love the concept sirocco
