What software was used to film this? Was it simply the iPhone Simulator through Xcode? It looks as if this was plugged in using software... it contains libraries and everything...

I have an Iphone and I <3 it. There's a few things I don't like about it but "WOW" factor of it to others is just crazy. I am probably going to save up to get one. The only real problem that I can see is battery life and durability. I wouldn't want my $500 phone getting a scrach on the screen the first day.

i think it's retarded how it's only a flash drive and 4/8 gigs. i have a video ipod and my music alone already takes up 8 gigs in itself. i love the design and i really want one (iphone) but i'd just never pay 500/600 dollars for 4/8 gigs. i think that was the worst mistake they made. oh, and the screen's exposed, and if it got scratched it would REALLY piss me off. i think they should have done some sort of flip phone kinda thing, besides that it's perfect. :)
The Zune software is lame, as well as the Zune itself. Apple actualy makes products that are much easier to use. It doesnt matter if you are buying the name or not, as long as you are still buying a product that is better than the other stuff out there.
The price maybe $500 & $600, but remember that when one renews their Cingular contract or is a new Cingular customer, they will probably get 150 discount for such. Thus, the phone will be $350 & $450.
Apple only wants 1% of the cell phone market in the U.S and probably same worldwide, which would be equivalent to 10 million units sold. The hype of the Iphone is just raising their stock and cell phone services stock who are in business with the Iphone. The Iphone has everything expect satellite radio and is not worth the money unless your basing your decision on design. It has to be easy to use like the Ipod or it will be a flop.

Apple anounced it would be around Christmas (at least here in Germany...).
But I'm not sure if its worth it since(besides the touchscreen)its not that innovative,its rummoured to have the same Battery and compatibility policy the Ipod had and to be very fragile, and its EXTREMELY expensive...

I am probably going to save up to get one. The only real problem that I can see is battery life and durability. I wouldn't want my $500 phone getting a scrach on the screen the first day.

Cool toy. I wish there was a version WITHOUT the bundled phone and services. I'd really like to see a wide screen iPod, WITH a hard drive, running OSX and a touch screen. That would be nice. We will see if any of this trickles down to the iPods.

I just saw the full keynote presentation on apple's website one hour plus, awesome presentation "iWant", awesome features, nothing new that we have not seen before, but in typical apple fashion much improved user interface, simple and elegant, beautiful design, can't wait 'til june.

i think it's retarded how it's only a flash drive and 4/8 gigs. i have a video ipod and my music alone already takes up 8 gigs in itself. i love the design and i really want one (iphone) but i'd just never pay 500/600 dollars for 4/8 gigs. i think that was the worst mistake they made. oh, and the screen's exposed, and if it got scratched it would REALLY piss me off. i think they should have done some sort of flip phone kinda thing, besides that it's perfect. :)

The price maybe $500 & $600, but remember that when one renews their Cingular contract or is a new Cingular customer, they will probably get 150 discount for such. Thus, the phone will be $350 & $450.

Apple only wants 1% of the cell phone market in the U.S and probably same worldwide, which would be equivalent to 10 million units sold. The hype of the Iphone is just raising their stock and cell phone services stock who are in business with the Iphone. The Iphone has everything expect satellite radio and is not worth the money unless your basing your decision on design. It has to be easy to use like the Ipod or it will be a flop.

It has great technology: A real web browser, google maps and services through widgets, free yahoo email accounts, by far bettter user interface than anything in the market.... 5 years ahead of any other phone out there... ohh yeah and the technology is all patented... Ipod Video included... What a bargain. All running under the best Operating System in the World, OSX, and serviced by Cingular ' ATT. What a winner.
