jcjccjcj@bs.com No Kidding! Harper knows he is going to screw up. So he apologizes beforehand? He's telling us he is going to spend BILLIONS OF OUR MONEY and not know what he is doing with it. That sure gives up confidence in the CONS. Are the people running under the "Conservative Banner" aware of how dishonest and arrogant their "leader is? Take Me to Your Leader , what leader? He is incompetent and what does that say about his minions. Voters are intelligent and we do CARE what happens !
harper needs to go. And its too bad that there isnt one political leader who is actually focused on the country. All they do is fight and bicker for power
He says anti-liberal things as well, I really don't think he's set against the conservatives. I suspect though that he votes for the NDP (shudder). I think we should be grateful for this massive spending, because it's less than the desired spending of the other parties, is my understanding. Still though, grr.
Well, he did make an entire rant once saying that Jack Layton needs to become more viable because Canadians ultimately want a left wing person, or something alone those lines. No matter how much "He's a left wing monster of leviathian socialist evil" or whatever I hear(from a very few, don't get me wrong), I don't think he really takes any side but HIS side, which is good, because that's what Canada was founded on, not focusing on political parties. What matters is that Canada wins the election.
Thank you, as hard as it is too argue against proportional representation, the system we have focus's on communities, not on political parties. Even if the Green Party should have more seats than zero, if we do that we are focusing on political parties, not on individual communities, which isn't as good as small jurisditions which bring people together as one. A hundred sticks are stronger than a log because each is too it's own. I'm probably going to get some rage for this, but that's fine.
Mercer can only do so much with what he has in front of him. The current government is the Conservatives and between doing, whatever, he is also hounded by the other parties. When the liberals screw up (cough, cough, DION) he makes the statement, and fast. The current issue is the fact that the Conservatives are trying to do too much and are slowly losing grip. Not to mention, even if Harper did set up rules, businesses would find a way to fuck with Canadian taxpayers so really, what can you do.
