Everyone knows that if you don't make your children work in a sweatshop they'll turn out to be stupid, fat, lazy, on drugs, and over concerned with electronics. Did Gingrich's fan club come here to hang out?
you can really spot the difference between American and English points of view in the posts. I see nothing wrong with countries that still allow children the right to earn an income as adults do.
American boys are too preoccupied with Xbox, The Wii game, Ipods, MP3's, Cell phones, Touch Pads, Computer surfing, Texting, PS3, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, hanging out, etc. These boys seemed content showing off their skills to the point of COMPETING. People need to clean their own house before trying to clean someone elses. That's what's wrong with AMERICA now, always meddling in others business when it's not their place too.
No, they will probably out live most of the fat, lazy Americans, and British who expect to work only four hours a day with an hour for lunch and two one hour breaks in between. In addition to these most generous terms they expect to have a comfortable pension when they retire and expect to get paid for 8 hours. If not they go on strike.
"I heard a voice that said you've got choice to be the hammer or the nail." - Ronnie James Dio
I was once someones nail, getting hammered all day at some of the worst jobs you can imagine for shitty wages. Then I listen to some lyrics that changed my state of mind. Now I'm the hammer and someone else is the nail.
If we treat our kids like babys until they are 18, they will turn into giant babys with lack of direction.
Working at a young age may seem harsh, but look what happens in modern countries with kids WITHOUT this "harsh work". They end up doing drugs, getting into trouble, and create a generation of burden that don't want to work. I see these kids of being blessed to learn at such a young age. Their futures are being built on a sturdy foundation, and hard working ethics.
I'm with nappytedd on this one. Read the video description. They were "proud" to show off their skills. And they should be. Hard work is not the same as slave labor. Hard work is something to be proud of and keeping in tune with nappytedd there, I wish I could bust my ass like that.
This is disgusting.. I do exactly the same job and I get paid £9.15 an hour (GBP) .. Plus a lot of bonuses.. These kids probably make that in months and months of labour.. And they're KIDS, making bricks is hard labour, im currently off work due to hurting my back myself.. I cant imagine the damage they're doing to their own backs.. Especially kneeling down the whole time!
Why not just be liberal and get the government to shut them down. Then those kids will go from having a hard labor job to starving and hungry.
Thanks to people like you, the shoe shops got shut down and people lost all of their income. BELIEVE ME, they want this job, because it gets them money. If you give them what you're making an hour, the prices of their food rise, and they find themselves getting no where. Leave them alone and let them do their own thing.
@thegreatwoodlife Mate you need to give your head a wobble! You're seriously coming on here and saying this shit to me ? LOL .. They want this job ? Did I deny that ? The problem isn't the fact they have jobs, like you said they need those jobs to survive. the problem is these kids shouldn't be working!! Do kids this age in England work ? NO! They should be fended for! Their country shouldn't be in the state it's in and it needs fixing! Don't come having a go at me coz this is fucked up!
@NaturalThreat1 These kids work becase their family needs food, and likely their parents don't have jobs. Kinds in England don't work because their economy is different. These kids don't have a whole lot of education opportunities. Nobody can save this countries economy and if they try, we find nothing but corruption come.
In England not even 100 years ago kids did infact work at this age, and look how they turned out? Some of the best, brightest, and smartest people in the country.
@thegreatwoodlife The bottom line is it's fucking hard labour and these kids will probably have wheelchairs by twenty, if they even live that long. Take your head out your fucking arse and stop starting pointless arguments.
@NaturalThreat1 And what? Throw money at the issue? Do you realize that while civilazations like Rome thrived so long ago, there are to this very day colonys that live by Spears and huts? Who are we to tell them to live like us? We live with Corrupt governments, with little freedoms now.
Let them live their life, and we will live ours.
Our countries have enough problems as is, and keeping our government from telling us, and forcing us what to do is a problem we should worry about.
It hurts my heart to see these kids do what they're doing called "work" in some case you can call it "child labor". But the truth is, the rich stay rich and the poor get more poor. It doesn't surprise me if these children make less then a dollar a day. It does proof that the society, media, family value effect youth these days.
aahh child labor... it's a beautiful thing. such a great concept make them strong and keep them out of trouble at the same time. here is proof that it is true what other countrys say about americans being lazy. try to get one of our gameboy weilding, ipod wearing, textaholic kids to work like this with out crying. never happen here in the U.S. were so fucking soft it makes me sick.
How do you know there not helping the family to build themselves a palace? I dosen't look like there starving or unhappy. I wish I would have as much purpose at there age. All I was doing was riding around aimlessly on a bycycle at that age.
Now look where I have ended up... floating around on the internet trying to occupy myself, like you.
