  • I wanted to thank you, as this performance was what inspired me to play the Uke. I could never quite master this piece with the bottle neck, though! (I've put a couple of tunes up on youtube myself now.)

  • this song is by robert johnson...pay your respects, or somebody will poison your whiskey too

  • Robert johnson was the man, I've yet to hear anyone come close to what that man could do on a guitar.

  • It's more like: Maybe you should tune it...

  • he said we french suck at this also

  • @f3rt it sais some kind of: may need to be thinking of the grant.

Something like that, i don't know

  • @f3rt He says the uke is not well tuned (!)

  • OH MY GOD :-|

    so nice man!

Do you have the tablature please?

  • thank you!

i have the tablature but only on paper, sorry.

  • heres a neat trick, take a snapshot of the sheets and use the zoom feature to expand, then you could post that

  • Sorry fella but I hate you ;-) If I had two lfe times I could never learn to play like that.

But will keep on trying, just got to work out the second life time thing.

    Good job.

  • wow! thank you and good luck with the second life time thing (which actually isn't necessary btw)! ;)

  • You got some beautiful fingers, man. I really enjoyed that.

  • nice man.

    way to go

  • Great stuff man, peeled the paint right off that song.

  • Great stuff!!

  • WOW

  • i wish i could play like that.

  • you tuned open? I've tried that on a mandolin. Not with a slide, but it's cool cause you can strum it open and do these cool indian-esque solos on a single string, while the rest of the strings create a drone, like a sitar. A very poor mans sitar that sounds nothing like a sitar but you get the point.

  • no, it isn't tuned open.. just standard GCEA-tuning. but good idea.. i'm gonna try it.

  • hear hear long live the uke

  • is that a kamaka?

  • no, it's a brüko.

  • Up the reds

  • Brilliant. Long live the Uke

  • Herman Parker Jr. learned the song from a Roosevelt Sykes recording, which was in turn a boogie rewrite of the original by Robert Johnson.

  • FANTASTIC!!!! I want to learn to do that!!!

  • Thank you, FranSpain! If you want to learn it, I recommend Rigk Sauer's (RISA) book "the ukulele solo recipe"! btw thanks for the friend invitation! =)

  • I have that book a long time ago... I want to learn to play with slide!!!

  • it's easier than it looks.. just try it.

  • Awesome.

  • excelent!

  • YEAH! i love the blues brothers. veeeery good arrangement!

  • Klasse.

  • Danke =)

  • nice picking.. slick slidin.. great stuff

  • Thank you! I appreciate that.

  • Fantastic! Great slidin'!!
