@princesde100 The straightener is optional, it just helps to "train" the hair to fall in a certain direction that helps cover the bundled hair. As for heat styling being bad, yes, they do cause damage, but so does brushing your hair, walking in the sun, and being around polluted city air. I don't heat style all the time, but I do know my hair looks great when it's flat ironed. That being said, there is nothing wrong with avoiding heat styling altogether.

@ChloeXOXOBrii Haha, I've never been accused of having a lisp before...but I went back and listened to the voiceover. It sounds like a lisp, but it's just the mic I was using. It is low quality and really exaggerates the "s" sound. I don't think any of my other vids sound like that. Just an FYI, I am planning to re-do a lot of my videos because I am unhappy with the quality of my first vids. I've learned a lot since I started and want to make things better for my viewers.

@cuteabz1 There is a youtuber named binosusume. She has a version of this, but her hair is all one length. You should look it up and try it that way. It's in Japanese, but you should be able to follow along. She's also added subtitles to some of her vids, so maybe that one has it...

Haha, if I remember correctly, this was the first time I ever recorded a voiceover. I was sitting on my couch while I was home alone...so maybe that's why I was so quiet. It feels awkward to talk so loud when the house is so quiet...haha...but this was also one of my first vids, and I think I've improved since then.

I'm not sure about others, but I often have an irritated throat due to a nasal condition. Also, if I'm speaking softly it comes out that way as well. I've never thought of it as an "American" thing. You can if you have layers that are just to right length. They should be short enough for the Alice look, but long enough to cover the hair underneath and still flip out, You'll also need alot of shorter layers above that to really get the pixie feel. Man, I love Alice. She's my FAVORITE!

Not that anyone has noticed. Every time I wear this to a place no one has seen it before, they'd swear I cut my hair. The bump you refer to is actually used as a form for the top layers to curl around and under, camouflaging the underlayers that aren't cut.

Like I said, no one knew it was fake. When I went to work, they simply thought I cut my hair, but the next day I showed up with long hair again and they were totally confused. So no, there is nothing noticeable that indicates it's a fake bob. The only way a bump would show is if your top layers are not long enough and your ponytail is too loose and not smooth.

It won't look as realistic, but you can tie it in a low ponytail and then roll it under and pin into place. I hope you can visualize what I'm saying.

I did this to my hair one night before my husband got home from work. He called before coming home and asked what I was doing. I had been cutting my front layers as I do sometimes when they grow out, so I told him I was cutting my hair. When he came home and saw me he panicked cuz he thought I really cut it. But when he found out it was temporary, he said it was cute. So it seems he likes the short hair as a change once in a while, but he definitely doesn't want me to cut it.
