This scene ruined family guy. Brian was the only sensible character in the show. The only character I could imagine actually being friends with in real life. And the fact that fucking QUAGMIRE was the one to tell him off was the most infuriating part. Quagmire has no right to tell ANYONE off.

And if you remember, Quagmire tried to resist Loretta (she came on to him, hard), so pinning that solely on Quagmire is unfair. Brian is a walking hypocrisy; at least Quagmire is consistent.

I am a liberal and I love Family Guy! Brian is usually right about almost everything, but he thinks only of his own perspective .. Quagmire is right about some things as well but he thinks only of his own perspective!
Brian is annoying sometimes but he does not hate as much as Quagmire about: religion, justice, personal and politics and so on. Brian wants to be friends with Gleen but not him. If you get offended if their own opinions .. Since it lacks pride.
@Majorasword64 A lot of these points Quagmire brings up are based on common complains the writers hear from fans about Brian's character in recent seasons. This was them throwing a bone to those fans by showing that they listen to them.
I kind of dig the Quagmire/Brian feud. It layers both of their characters by having a mutual animosity and interesting interaction between both of them. And I think Quagmire was the right person to go on this rant because A) we never saw too much interaction between the two B) it gave us insight into what makes Quagmire tick C) Quagmire's on the money about Brian & D) the fact that it's coming from Quagmire makes it incredibly ironic
Oh my god, this is what I hate about Quagmire, he makes assumptions. How does he even know what Brian does? He's never even watched him do his own life. Quagmire says that Brian only repays his best friend by hitting on his wife. But he repays him also in so many other ways. I hate how his assumptions don't make any basis. He makes no valid argument about how he hates Brian. He's never even seen Brian "do" his own life. It's due to Quagmire that everyone constantly pesters Brian.

The show was originally called "Family Dog" and it was about him and his goofy new owner and how weird the humans are in comparison; then it was changed slightly to center around Peter; but still the dog is the show's straight-man.

@DanteandLady4ever Brian is presented as a liberal as he is probably the show's most level-headed character and he likes expressing his opinions, but under all that there is this great character who is funny, sensible, friendly to most people (he even tried to make amends here with a person who hated him), devoted (he was willing to be neutered just to see his puppies) and that's why he is one of the show's best characters, if not the best - most people think so anyway!

I am a liberal and I love Family Guy! Brian is usually right about almost everything, but he thinks only of his own perspective .. Quagmire is right about some things as well but he thinks only of his own perspective!
Brian is annoying sometimes but he does not hate as much as Quagmire about: religion, justice, personal and politics and so on. Brian wants to be friends with Gleen but not him. If you get offended if their own opinions .. Since it lacks pride.

I kind of dig the Quagmire/Brian feud. It layers both of their characters by having a mutual animosity and interesting interaction between both of them. And I think Quagmire was the right person to go on this rant because A) we never saw too much interaction between the two B) it gave us insight into what makes Quagmire tick C) Quagmire's on the money about Brian & D) the fact that it's coming from Quagmire makes it incredibly ironic

Oh my god, this is what I hate about Quagmire, he makes assumptions. How does he even know what Brian does? He's never even watched him do his own life. Quagmire says that Brian only repays his best friend by hitting on his wife. But he repays him also in so many other ways. I hate how his assumptions don't make any basis. He makes no valid argument about how he hates Brian. He's never even seen Brian "do" his own life. It's due to Quagmire that everyone constantly pesters Brian.

No, Seth McFarlane comes off as a preachy liberal asshole, and the dog his is alter-ego.
The show was originally called "Family Dog" and it was about him and his goofy new owner and how weird the humans are in comparison; then it was changed slightly to center around Peter; but still the dog is the show's straight-man.
So now that the McFarlane got too preachy, he tries to "blame it on the dog."
In short, IT STINKS AND WE DON'T BELIEVE IT!

@DanteandLady4ever Brian is presented as a liberal as he is probably the show's most level-headed character and he likes expressing his opinions, but under all that there is this great character who is funny, sensible, friendly to most people (he even tried to make amends here with a person who hated him), devoted (he was willing to be neutered just to see his puppies) and that's why he is one of the show's best characters, if not the best - most people think so anyway!
