  • THis was amazing! =)

  • @AnimecrazySakura7 Thank you, I'm happy you enjoyed it!

  • @AnimecrazySakura7 Aww thank you dear for such a kind comment, I appreciate you liking it enough to leave me such positive feedback :)

  • I'm trying to start making videos myself, and this one is so amazingly done that I gotta ask what programs you used to download and edit the clips and everything.

  • @OriginalEdub Hah

Funnily enough, this was done with the free-stock video editing program on Windows - Windows Movie maker. If you're learning, it's certainly not a bad place to start.

Downloading clips is a bit tricky. The series has been long since licensed and so your best bet would be to rip and use the episodes from the DVDs.

    Good luck with everything mate.

  • @AzureVermillion I managed to find a way to download and convert clips and have my video started, but I'm wondering how to remove the subtiltes. Any advice?

  • @OriginalEdub The easiest method would be to find a NLE that allows you to crop and manipulate the footage in 'real time' as you edit with it. Ulead, Sony Vegas, Adobe Premeire are just some big name examples. You can pick up the movie studio edition of Sony Vegas relatively cheaply or trial the pro version for 30 days.

If you are using a converting program like virtual dub you can crop the video and cut out the subtitles.

  • @AzureVermillion Would I be able to edit the video until it was done, then save it and take the subtiltes out of the final product?

  • @OriginalEdub You could

Either way you are probably going to have to crop 15-20% of your video in order to remove the subtitles. - this cannot be avoided as the subtitles are hardcoded into the video. The advantage of doing that within an editing suite as you edit, is because you can complete control over the zone in which you what crop.

If you were to crop the subs out at the end. It gets a whole lot messier.

  • Ong awesome video i love it !!! nd i jus recently watched this anime, lol vi read in ur description box about the gif of allen and lenalee kissing and was wonder where i could get tht gif

  • @HinataSakura94 As far as I'm aware, Mathy Chan is still around on youtube, but asking her for a practically 3 year old file might be a bit of a long stretch. I certainly do not have it anymore.

    Sorry.

  • :'DDD I love this song *U* and this video makes me wanna watch DGM again :'DD WONDERFUL JOB :'D

  • This vid was AMAZING! u did a fantastic job and I just LOVE this song and the Allen x Lenalee pairing!!! everything fits together perfectly!!!! AWESOME work! =D

  • Thanks for taking the time to leave such a positive comment!

This video is quite old (though still one of my favourites) and I've improved greatly in the realms of editing since its production.

If you enjoyed this, you might also enjoy some of my other videos. Though they aren't D.Gray-man related.

  • Awesome amv! You did great job about this pairing, I really love these two. I think they are perfect match for each other.

  • Sorry about replying to this comment so late, I'm really glad you enjoyed watching it.

I feel they have the most solid connection with each other and that if they were to spout out the words 'I love you' it would feel the least tacked on.

Their relationship seems one sided - Allen is oblivious of Lenalee's feelings of admiration (and perhaps love)

I do hope something 'more' develops between them later in the manga, possibly nearing its closing chapters.

  • Oh my god. This is amazingly awesome! Probably the best one I've ever seen so far! Do you know the link you used to get the clips by any chance? I'm trying to make an AMV of my own :3

  • Thanks for such lovely words,

Sadly D.Gray-man has been licensed by Funimation so a majority, if not all, of the download links and whatnot have been C&D by their legal department and stuff.

So finding RAWs would be endlessly difficult now.

You can try buying the Funimation DVD's and ripping them if you want RAW esque files

Also, sorry for the late reply!

  • love the song and the video-nya

and the song Pieces from RED gos so well with it as well-nya

  • Thanks for enjoying the video enough to comment on it, and for subscribing also!

  • Careful now Anna, there is a double standard associated with this song now, especially now that Moo has made another 'epic' out of it

I guess all I can say is, great minds truly do think alike xDD

It's awesome to hear that this still envokes an emotional response out of you, even after all this time.

And yes, 'eventually' is the right word. I've looked at the song again, and mentally drawn out a sort of plan. Just need to remember where and what footage is available to use

  • I swear I was editing with RED before they became cool xDD

Glad to see we share similar tastes!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting^^

  • Oh My Gosh. I remember this video and I have loved it. Always have loved it. Lol.

  • I have the same sort of feelings toward this too, I want to go-back and make it better, but I feel it mightn't pack the original punch.

Thank you for the lovely comment!

  • I don't know. I'm sure anything you make would be absolutely brilliant! But, with this song it's just amazing. I love the song in Pieces by RED. I'm currently obsessed with it.

  • Wow this is so good, and so emotional ^-^ I luv it, great job ; )

  • Thank you for the lovely comment^^

I'm happy that you enjoyed it enough to comment!

  • Ooh! I really like it even though it's old!~ It's very well done.

  • Thank you!

I remember putting a lot of blood sweat and tears into producing this, though the timeframe spent was roughly 4 (Fri-Tues) the hours put into it were ridiculous, something like 70 hours xDD

    Glad you enjoyed it^^

  • through out this vid

i felt like i've watched the dvd and i watching the special amv in the extras

    cool runnings man

  • So you're saying it seems professional or something?

If that is the case, thank you, you flatter me^^

  • Awesome video. I love DGM :D

I look forward to seeing a new DGM video from you... although I do like this video so I'd prefer to see a remake ^^ LOL

  • Well currently I've got a D.Gray-man collab video that's going to be eventually started. So a remake (if it happens) would be later down the track.

    Thanks for the comment!
