Actually, no. A concept attains the status of an axiom when one attempts to deny it by its own application (ie. using logic to disprove logic). The negative team did not give any reason to vote for them; they stated that there is no purpose in debate. Even assuming this to be true, that is not a reason to vote negative; it's an argument for not voting at all.

The affirmative was pathetic by failing to point this out and to call them on that "time cube" bullshit.

They should have asked for the evidence and destroyed it, then called it a time waster clearly intended to distract from the case, and point out that the negative team did not hit on any of their points.

If they had one (which they should have) they could have introduced their own value criterion and preferred it.

The negative can't win a nihilistic argument. Even if they are correct, nobody wins, therefore it confers no advantage, therefore it should be thrown out.
