"Although what you are about to see is a work of fiction, it should nevertheless be played at maximum volume" <3
I can't remember the first time I saw this film, but I loved it. The music is amazing, the story is great, the characters are loveable and really well acted - it is a wicked film. And it's £4 on play.com - nothing could stop me buying it ^_^
It's kinda the other way around. Lambert reminds you of this, Party Monster, and Bowie and Iggy Pop etc, since it's obvious he gets his inspiration from those and other similar scources from the 60s and 80s glam and club eras. Immitation, not replication or reinvention. Lambert is in no way novel or unique, he's a knockoff of the classics and originals that changed the face of music and pop culture, except w/out new ideas, he just recycles old ones.
Needles in the Camel's Eye by Brian Eno its on his album Here Come the Warm Jets. you should just buy the album and listen to it for couple weeks straight.
This is my all-time favorite movie <3 Pure sex~

@judgeourjah um... it's loosely based on David Bowie, actually, who is a teensy bit more a musician than she is.

I adore this movie. It's so hard to find it online.
My inner nerd is always excited about Batman getting off to Henry VIII and Obi Wan getting it on. :3

sexpistol1979 3 years ago 4
i realise now this film is based upon the events of the early 1970's glam rock movement and it's artists including, obviously, david bowie =]
