you are always contradicting yourself. first you say theres some golden rule that says "no hitting a grounded opponent", but in another vid you demonstrated a technique that would hit an opponent on the ground. and you first say MMA is fake but in this vid now you say its real. you need to learn how to stick with your words man.

How can you compare a helpless person being ganged up on and beaten mercilessly by a group of thugs to two fighters willingly being paid to fight each other - two fighters who have trained for it and want to do it? I train in MMA and we're taught to use what we learn wisely. You're making unfair generalizations here

It's pretty much impossible to avoid MMA since it's so popular in the market already... but I think what teachers should include in the teachings are ethics and morals. The line "With great power comes great responsibility" can go a long way in bringing peace with martial arts.

You keep saying u dont know how to help but I think u can and already are. You are still just emotionally affected by seeing the video. Teach them it is more powerful and manly to face your adversary one on one. Teach them the best thing is to avoid fighting when u can-art of war. I don't really think cage fighting influences people being jumped by multiple people. It's always happened. People form small groups/gangs and they call for backup because they can't fight 1v1. Especially relevant in most highschools. I agree about teaching people how to defend themselves in these situations, get out of them, and avoid them completely. You never know if you're teaching a 'bully' by first glance, but you can teach maturity and self-respect etc etc, well, they can learn it. zz

i love the sport of mixed martial arts and boxing. MMA strictly does not teach this at all! if you were to actually take a gracie jiu jitsu class who were the founders of the UFC then you'd understand what their intentions are.

honestly, it could be possible about mma or ufc, but then again its media you know, its pressure ... because the thing is, im pretty sure mma teaches you not to use it outside unless you really have to defend yourself...but parents play role in this and grown adults...because i swear kids these days man they on somethin that they think that jumping is a good thing...

Mixed martial arts has nothing to do with this. It has to do with bad parenting. Mixed martial is a new sense of a sport and entertainment. You are posting videos on sparring and sometimes hitting with no control either.

i practice martial arts to defend myself... my dad always taught me the best self-defense is to avoid possible danger or violence and be respectful.. im glad my dad taught that to me.. i would've been a bully...
