  • I like this movie a lot. Mostly because of the nostalgia. One thing though that proves disney sucks. Compare this movie (released in 2000) and disney's Atlantis (released in 2001). They are almost the exact same movie. Since they were released so close to one another and they have ridiculous similarities I'de say Don Bluth had a hand in Atlantis.

  • @thestout77 Pretty sure Bluth wasn't involved with Atlantis, but I know that Joss Whedon worked on both projects, which would explain some of the similarities.

  • @DJilneige Ah. Well thank you for clearing that up!

  • Sigh. Such a rip off of nostalgia critic

  • @kornkid22 Thanks. I wasn't quite sure what you meant the first time you, but now that you've done me the courtesy of posting the same comment twice on a video that was made nearly two years ago and is therefore no longer an accurate representation of my current work, I think I can finally leave this internet life behind and pursue my dream of becoming a chimney sweep. Thank God for you, kornkid22.

  • This was a nice review, and I had a feeling you liked the movie. I loved this movie as a kid and I still love it now. Don Bluth is awesome.

  • Granted this film has its weak-points, but for possibly Don Bluth's last animated (can't say for sure yet) it has a decent solid story. I like the fact that some, or few, of the characters feel real. I admit the ending was weak, but I'll accept it like it is.

I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10. It's okay, but not great.

  • I like this movie but theres alot to rip on.

  • o, th old lady sais she just needs rest kuz they have that instant healing stuff they did with Kail n th beginning when he was naked

  • loved it when i was five, love it now. nice review.

  • ...Bob? Seriously? Bob?

That's the most anticlimactic planetary resurrection I have ever heard of. EVER.

  • @PeterDivine I know, Right? Personally, I would have gone with Vulcan (Not only because of Star Trek, mind you).

  • i busted my gut at the PETA thing...

  • Bob...*closes book* best part of the entire episode, i think your just as and maybe funnier than nostalgic critic

  • Very good review, I look forward to watching your others.

  • i saw this as a kid... and adored it.

  • LLAMA LLAMA LLAMA LLAMA LLAMA!!!!! XDDD

BOB?!?!?! U SERIOUS?!?! XDDDD I love your reaction XDDDD

I've never seen this movie, couldn't find it on youtube. Aw well, pretty much watched it through your review lol

  • I was drinking water at the bob part and got my computer soaking wet! This is hilarious! Thanks for reviewing

  • LMAO

    XDDDDDDDDD

  • CAPTIONS! HAHA

  • @monkeynut000 5:05 with captions

how does dad sound like simpsons

  • Nice Review!

  • @BooBop1987 Glad to hear you liked it.

  • @DJilneige Oh yeah, I love it! You did a pretty good job!

  • @BooBop1987 thanks, but you should know that this is nowhere near my best work. My more recent reviews can be found at Reviewtopia[.]net, if you want to check them out.

  • @DJilneige Sure I will see more of your reviews! Anytime as I like. I love movies reviews!

  • So what of Hitchhiker's Guide?

  • @artistwithouttalent I hadn't seen it at the time of this review...and I still haven't.

  • @DJilneige *whispers* the earth blows up :P

  • @DJilneige I wouldn't watch Hitchhiker's Guide if i were you. The books are amazing but the movie missed th piont. I think the problem was it was a British book made into movie by Americans, some things were just lost in translation.

  • @artistwithouttalent Actually because it was recreated the exactly the same, i think that it doesnt count as been destroyed like in Titan AE.

  • Hahahaha! You're hilarious. :D

  • I heard Don Bluth is returning to animating and he's probably doing a movie based on his Dragon's Lair games

  • It seems Korso is a hypocrite just for working for the Drej, who want to destroy the human race. Korso is human, too... isn't he?

  • Did anyone else notice that Cale and Dimitri have basically the same character look?

By the way, great reveiw - great tangents! XD

  • 5:34

    UM... NO... ¬¬

What they were afraid of was future inventions. If humans can create planets who knows what they can come up with later.. including a way to kick their ass... so why wait... and so they blew up earth. your review is funny but sometimes you make a comment that turns me into a hater.

  • This was great. Thanks for the laughs!

  • Nostalgia Critic rip off.(And unlike Zero Punctuation, and Moviebob - no they're not all the same.) No attempt at origonality.

  • Coolest movie review I've EVER seen!

  • we could see that you were in your blue plaid boxers around the 2:00 minute mark, then jeans again later. lol

  • @neurocyde1 haha, those are actually just regular shorts, not boxers. I was wondering if anyone would notice.

  • Ya know when you think about it almost every reviewer is like the nostalgia critic so i don't know why everyone is picking you to death there were alot of funny jokes in the review and both you and the nostalgia nutcase proved that you can be a ripoff of the nostalgia critic and still be funny btw you should watch some of the nostalgia nut case's videos and he even makes jokes about him ripping off the nostalgia critic I suggest watching his review of the hunchback of notre dame 2. please reply

  • @owensentis I've seen a few of the nutcase's videos. I really liked his review of "Fivel Goes West."

  • To be honest, I enjoyed it.

Yeah it's like Nostalgia Critic, but at least he does it very well.

  • Atleast he doesn't do annoying character voices for 85% of the review like NC does. I actually enjoyed this one and I enjoyed the movie. Make more!

  • Destroying the Drej with a giant blast of irony.

  • Lol! It was a shoulder wound...but you'd think she get stitches. I mean It went THROUGH HER SHOULDER!!

  • "Juno, Minerva, Vulcan..."

    "Bob."

    SNAP

  • The main guy looks like Dimitri from Twentieth Century Fox's "Anastasia".

How about that movie next? 8D

  • @threetailedfox1 WEEELLL considering the same animator did BOTH movies....yeah, that makes sense! At least the heroine didn't have red hair and those annoying eyelashes.

  • it would be funny if when goon whatever his name is kills the guys, the reviewer was lie 'NOOOOOOOOO'

  • i luv this vid ur very funny

  • ....that was freakin AWESOME! i loved it ^^ unfortunately i haven't seen the full film but meh, i loved your commentary :D you're hilarious! XD

  • haters gonna hate ;)

  • Wait this movie was for kids?

I don't think so dude I think this movie was intended you young adults

i don't know actually it still kicks ass :D

  • I enjoyed your review. Ignore the haters. :)

  • To all haters of this reviewer, Shut up!!

  • Although it isn't as good as I used to think it is, I'm still fond of TITAN AE at least for what it tried to be. I just wish more stuff got made like it before 3d/CGI took over - it would have been great to see more Western equivalents to the great genre of sci-fi anime that the Japanese, for example, enjoy.

Anyway, cool review. Had me laughing way too hard at some bits - I still think 'Space Chase on Ice' has potential - and I am definitely subscribing. And now onto your Atlantic review... :)

  • I can see why you liked this movie. Like you, it tries very hard to be something it is not. It tries to be an exciting and edgy step up from Disney, and fails. You try to be a comical recreation of the Nostalgia Critic, and you fail.

  • @Masquarette *rimshot*

  • @DJilneige Drej are peta lol that made me lol

  • @Masquarette Nostalgia Critic isn't the ONLY comic reviewer out there, for pete's sake. I notice few if anybody ever mention Cinema Snob, Nostalgia CHICK, Obscurus Lupa, etc

  • @ZillaRocks While that is very true, neither of the aforementioned are quite as pathetic and annoying as this one. In all honesty, I feel he goes groping blindly for material rather than being witty and creative.

  • @Masquarette Being a NC fan myself I definitely prefer the guy with the beard and glasses but I think the reviewer here does a great job despite the similarities to Nostalgia Critic.

  • @Masquarette ...this was only my second review. I think you could cut me some slack.

  • @DJilneige Sorry. I'm just...well critical bu I guess that was rude of me. You're editing is not bad at all, and some of your material is very funny. Just some advice from a viewer is that I suggest you bring down the hyper deliveries just a tad. Try a different angle and you might come up with something new. However if this style of reviewing is just your personality than keep with it.

  • @Masquarette Hes doing just fine. A very enjoyable review with many laughs. Now go away please.

  • @JustifiedRob I apologized already. Lay off

  • @Masquarette @JustifiedRob

    Happy thoughts, everyone. Happy thoughts.

  • @Masquarette There you go. Now thats more civilized :)

  • the last part was the best. It wasn't a kids film but it doesn't matter because it ruled!!!

  • Lol, Planet Bob.

  • I think your a great reviewer!

  • boooooooooooooooooooob XDDD

  • This review was pretty entertaining, but you are NO Nostalgia Critic!

  • @Djang0ilBastardo I'm not trying to be...not anymore anyway.

  • @Djang0ilBastardo no, but he does the job pretty well.

  • @Djang0ilBastardo @Djang0ilBastardo no, but he does the job pretty well.

  • @ChewbaccaTheMustafa what about Tangled?

  • Mmm, that's good genocide!! 8:35

  • She got a hole in the shoulder, not the chest. Just so you know.

  • White boy you are not funny!!!! More annoying than funny!!!

  • @Johnhancock71 k, thanks

  • @Johnhancock71 lol, wow.

  • @Johnhancock71 I think he's a funny guy :)

  • Dude, i really like your vid. it's funny as hell BUT. PLEASE upload the original movie without inturrupting cuz i can't find it. else i have to download veoh wich suppose to make me watch '' whole '' vids. but i can't. i tried to download it three times soo Dx also when i click ur link it is still interrupting. fix it. QUIIIIIIIICK !!! full stop full stop full stop full stop

  • llama! llama! llama! llama! llama!

    yes, I lol'd

  • when i make a movie of this with the score of soaicl network and the visuals of tron legacy, i will make a million bucks XD but first GET RID OF THE NAVIGATOR AND THE VAGINA BARING FURRY FANSERVICE.

  • @LiimLsan ...furry fanservice?

  • @DJilneige someone like stith...a female of indeterminate kangaroo species who walks in a way that puts whatever space genitalia she has like front and center and just seems baring it like she in heat or something...

also - why the hell is the CGI shaded gradiently when it tries to combine with drawings? (also - how the hell did john leguizamo find work with blue sky after doing THIS? Fox! we're all under contract!)

  • HHHHAHAHAA!!! Dude, you're funny in this clip! @1:53 - 2:02 XD! Funny review, DJilneige X)

  • Out of all the names they could have piked for New Earth... they picked BOB! wtf?

    Its an ok movie.

  • WTF?!?!?! Did he just snap his neck?!?!?!

  • That was smart with Futurama

  • The first time I watched it,m I screamed when Corso broke Preed's neck XD

    1. He was my favorite character (and 99% of the time, my favorites DIE)

    &

    2. I was not expecting it at all XD

  • @GingaGirl86 Same here. Well, I didn't scream, but it really took me by surprise, and I was 18 when I finally saw this movie.

  • @GingaGirl86 I got really disturbed the first time I saw that, it came outta nowhere :S

  • @GingaGirl86 Preed was my favorite as well. I loved him so much I even got a lizard of my own. I almost called her Pred but it didn't fit her.

  • I actually haven't seen this movie, but I think I still prefer your reviewed version!

Although, Earth does also blow up in The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy :D

  • @disenchanted987 I knew there had to be another piece of fiction where Earth ceased to exist, but I couldn't remember what it was. Thanks for letting me know.

I'd recommend checking out Titan A.E. It's not perfect, but it's pretty cool as far as animated sci fi goes.

  • I'm so sick of that negative, sarcastic attitude of yours.

  • @Macz338 you're right, I was raised better than this. I'm so sorry I let you down. I pray you can find it in your heart to forgive me, whoever you are.

  • STOP FIDGETING, WORM!

    Nice review :D

  • with a giant blast of irony! oh epic lulz

  • PLANET BOB!!!!

  • i think 8:40 to 8:53 is hilarious

  • i think 8:42 to 8:53 is hilarious

  • CC: Summarize more. It really drags on your review when you show so much of the movie. Also, chase scenes aren't inherently bad. All the chase scenes in this movie are good because they move the plot along. I do kind of agree with you about Kale's driving scene. While probably my favorite scene from the movie, it was put in an awkward place.

  • @OutlawGrrl The chase scenes actually don't bug me that much. Space Chase was just something I came up with out of fear that I wouldn't have enough jokes to keep the review interesting.

  • @OutlawGrrl oh, I almost forgot. Thanks for the feedback.

  • Dude I so would've nammed it Vulcan!

  • bob thats the best name HE COULD COME UP WITH!? i mean its the new earth and all soo at least give it some respect right?

  • What a minute ... Stith's walkee-talkee/watch thing is also a bomb? ... Whose idea was that?!

  • @HyaenusDominae there's a clip i cut out where Preed gives it to her.

  • It's a shame the NC doesn't like this movie.

  • Okay, the lama bit was good.

  • You sound like Dib from Invader Zim.

  • @PinkPunkyKat best Nickelodeon show ever!

  • @DJilneige What about Avatar?

  • @TF2Fan101 for a review? which one? Last Airbender or James Cameron's?

  • @DJilneige I meant what About Avatar the Last Airbender? A lot of people say that was one of nickelodeon's best shows.

  • I almost named my pet lizard, Preed. But she turned out to be a girl.

  • @PinkPunkyKat Nobody wants a lizard named Stith.

  • @DJilneige Stith looks more like a kangaroo to me and at the time and at the time I thought my lizard was a boy. But I did consider Stith as a name. She didn't get a Titan A.E. name at all in the end anyway.

  • Haha, I really like your commetary :D :D And yea, this animation movie kicks ass!

  • Anything is possible with the power of montages....

  • Do A Barrell-roll!!

  • The Dredge just make me think "Needs more Pylons"

  • @Shadow12000 starcraft Reference

  • @raja1057 Yes, yes it was

  • I liked Preed. He shouldn't have died THAT way, if at all. Just kind of came out of nowhere.

  • Nice review. I loved how you say you liked the movie, while still poking alot of fun at it.

  • This movie is by the same guy who made Anastasia right? The animation looks practically the same

  • That's exactly what I would have named it. Bob

  • ii luv the part wre u go llama llama llama & the new planet cunumdrum there my fav parts

  • OMG! BLOOD in a kids movie!

  • Pretty funny stuff here, dude. Ever thought of being on thatguywiththeglasses?

Anyways, I really enjoyed the first two thirds of the film but I wasn't so impressed with the third act when Korso and Preed just all of a sudden became bad guys, Preed being killed on account of being my favorite character and Cale naming New Earth "Bob". :-P

  • @IndigoDragoness i actually just sent in my application for TGWTG yesterday, so hopefully I'll be hearing back from them in a few days.

Yeah, the Bob thing does seem sort of contrived, but I still thought it was funny. Thanks for your comment.

  • XD this video was awsome!

  • BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA! PLANET BOB! BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHA!

  • get blown up by a giant blast of irony haha this is awesome

  • I totally forgot about this movie! I remember not liking it much as a kid *because* it was dark, but now that I'm older, I can appreciate the film for what it is. I'll have to Netflix it since it doesn't seem to be on Youtube.

Your review show is awesome, and I really like the title. You're a little later than Nostalgic Critic, which means I actually remember a good portion of the films you've reviewed. Again, great job, and all of your reviews are quite entertaining. :)

  • @musubi12 wow, thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoy my videos.

  • lol for awkward pause

and I fucking love that bob scene

  • PLANET BOB

  • Bahahaha Bob XD

  • Loved your review. You remind me of my cousin's cousin, as well as myself.

  • space chase on ice best ever XD^^#

  • 3:35 LMAO AT THE PETA reference of the drej now that was hilarious!

  • I like TITAN A.E. and I like what you have to say. Don Bluth is the anti-Disney and his stories all wear it on their sleeves. He sugar coats nothing. Honestly I think he would love to be a Ralph Bakshi, but doesn't have the conviction, or the willingness to totally cross boundaries that are taboo. Will have to watch all your vids here and find out more

  • drej are peta o.o holy crap

  • So by commiting mass genocide, you can create a planet?

Wasn't the whole reason that the Drej attacked was because they were scared humans would wipe them out?

  • @mortman200 something like that. Akima at one point says the Drej feared what humans could become, like they were threatened by what technology we could create in the future.

  • youre hilarious! Hope you make more reviews.

  • just FYI, cause for some reason i read the book, the whole 'destroying earth things' makes alot more sense. There was a dredge spy there when Cale's dad first replicated something and the power of the dredge is based off of their ability to endlessly replicate in a way that no one else can... until the human's found a way. There's a little more to it than that, but that's the basic concept.

Still funny, though. Loved watching it!

  • This is so much butter than disney film ever made and follows the book very well

  • @Mazermindful Wait... Titan AE was a book first?

  • @weldonwin Ya. as far as I know and there are also books about the main charactors individual stories. The authers are steve perry and dal perry. I don't have a great dasire to read the individual stories but you may. Good luck and all.

  • @weldonwin No, the books were more of prequels to the movie. Well, not exactly a prequel, as they take place during the 15 years that happened before the '15 years later' part of the movie.

  • It is great but what's next?

  • @TheCortez365

Next I'm planning on reviewing Clockstoppers. After that, I'm not sure.

  • Very nice! ET TU PREEED? Gotta admit, I love this movie too. I may or may not even have the soundtrack......
