ok so ive played through both Orange and Blackstars tell you the truth both amps are great but really you can do way more with a Blackstar and Orange are great amps but there just way too much money. Im going to buy a Blackstar series one 50watt head and pair it with a 212 cab closed back. played through a set up like that twice and i fell on my butt from such tone and diversity. You just cant beat Blackstar for the price. Oranges are nice but ill rather have a Blackstar.
@jacobra1991 hey man, i actually agree. Blackstar offers more versatility compared to Orange and they actually sound good! The Series One is a great product. I guess it's up to what you need. Some people wants the simplicity and great tone from Orange but some people values function and controls more. I'm the latter to be honest. That is why I sold this to buy a Mark V. Suits me better :) Have fun with your Blackstar man.
@yongling i find it very hard to find a tone that i dont like with my rockerverb...you can play anything with it...three stages of gain you can go from blue grass to metal...any more versatile then that and you have a swiss army amp
@GuitaristBoi9 Yeah I haven't actually had the chance to play through one yet. But I've heard really great stuffs about them. Well I guess each has their own strengths. :)
@Orbsee Hey man, yeah I used to have the Blackstar for a while. The Blackstar is more 'Marshall'-esque. Orange has that classic orange growl to it. I think it all comes down to what you like. To my ears the Blackstar sounder more ballsy than a Marshall.Tone wise, both amp sounded awesome. But if you're looking for flexibility of an amp that could give you sparkly cleans to down right brutal drive, go for the Blackstar. If you do, I would recommend you to get the HT100 head with a really nice cab
Nice. Thanks for the demo, I'm looking at buying the rv50 mkii or a tv. This helps a lot.
