Nice. I bought mine used off someone on Ebay. They had installed Systema Torque Ups and my 11v chewed them up within 100 rounds. So had to replace those with KWA gears. Runs like a dream now. Other than a torn bucking who's replacement is on the way.
Dang dude. I love KWA's gears. The built-in shims are a definite plus, lol. Please tell me you got the 2G hopup bucking. They are AMAZING. I have one on the way.
I was using a 9.6 4200 (Powerizer). The trigger response is great with mine because I have a Systema M100 spring installed. Thanks to the amazing KWA compression, I'm gettin 390fps constant with a TB barrel.

Yes sir. I'm using a first generation KWA M16BR. The only mags I use are MAG brand.
I'm actually planning on purchasing a 2009 KWA M16 and turning that into a DMR. I HIGHLY recommend the KWA M16. I was hitting people at a distance where they weren't expecting me to.
I threw a Systema M100 spring into it, as well as a Madbull V2 Black Python Tightbore barrel and H-shaped hop up nub. I'm hitting 385-390 consistently with .20's with a great range with .25's.
My only complaint is that my gearbox cracked due to the stock M130 spring. It shot 450 fps out of the box, settling in around 430 fps. This is illegal at most of Ohio's events, which is why I had to drop in an M100 spring.
It gets great compression and is a must have for any DMR or long range-aholic.
On top of that, KWA's customer service is the best there is (IMO).
thanks a ton, i was having a hard time deciding between the kwa m16 and a scar of some kind. i think i'll be getting the m16! and tanks for all the technical advice too, it is nice to have some experienced help. i just got into airsoft a couple of months ago. i bought a G&P defender and i love it, but the 11.5 inch barrel doesn't help much for range though. it shoots consistently at 360 with almost 20 rps on a 9.6v. it has great accuracy, but not as great reach as i would want.
an m16 dmr would be awesome, because then i could still use all of the mags and accessories i already have. having just got out of the army, i have a shit ton of stuff. once again thanks alot

BTW what voltage battery were you running in your KWA M16? I run a 11.1v in my KWA M4A1.
