Before i played fallout, I used to find this song rather peacful and put myself in a state of tremerity and euphoria at the same time, now though,.... After playing the game I found this song nauseous, remembering those ugly dreadful ghouls, the sense of radiation bombarding my body, and other sick mutated fuckheads.
@fourtee2 They are available on steam for 10 bucks a pop, digitally. Or you could get cheaper on ebay. Im 12, Iv purchased them, and they are amazing games. Iv played through fallout 1 twice, and it is my second favorite game of all time. Along with Fallout 2.
I never played this game as a kid.(hell no was my mom going to get me a M rated game) I played Fallout 3, and I fell in love with the feel of the game.I bought Fallout 1, 2 and tactics at Target(LOL?) a few months back, and oh damn am i obsessed over this series. playing Fallout and Fallout 2 now as an adult makes me totally nostalgic.
Back then, game makers had to rely on more than just graphics, they had story, music and atmosphere.
That being said, I suck so bad at turn based games.
if i had to choose one song to hear for the rest of my life, it would be this one, not only 'cause its pure epic awesomeness, also 'cus this song bring memories back, i imagine scenes of wastlelands, lonly travelers, a big empity space, with a sandstorm, a hero walking slowly, with a song in his hearth... no words can fully describe what i feel
sorry for the bad english, it isnt my 1st lenguage
Futuristic-old atmosphere of Fallout is unforgettable. Songs like this in devastated dirty world full of different kind of radioactive-touched creatures, own justice, own way of living, rusty modern technics... Do you know game with better atmosphere and story? Because I don't...
@falconeyes123 well, you can bought it off somewhere or use warez forums, but theres also new vegas which includes some stuff from fallout 1,2(and its styled that way)
I was wandering around like a douche in a Garry's Mod RP server in Gm_Atomic. I found Junktown and wandered around in the houses. I found the radio and flicked it on. This song played.
I hammered the space key since I was jumping with joy.
@webb20k This looks like a commentary from a child that never played FO 1&2 when then where first in the market. So your argument as all of those unconstructive ones is invalid. You better go play crysis or something like that.
I don't think FO3 is a bad game. It's just NOT FO. You can have some fun playing FO3, but not only the game is shallow as a spit on the floor as the geme isn't even near as funny and sarcastic as the first ones.
Never played the original Fallout before. Only Fallout 3. I know that they are both different games, but I would like to try it out. My computer isn't really old, but it's the 1st version of Windows XP. In other words, it can run the original "The Sims" perfectly, along with the expansion packs. If my computer can run "The Sims", would it be able to run the 1st Fallout game?
A few minutes ago I finished this game...Fallout 4ever! Wish the day I could buy a new PC to play Fallout 3.
I miss these old days (1996-2000): Interplay, Gremlin Interactive, Westwood studios, Broderboudn...Some of these companies released some of the best videogames...And the most saddest is those companies are no longes (sob)...I miss these days!
Nothing like getting an ass whoop from those Radscorpions in Shady Sands, remembering you hadn't saved yet, getting back to character creation and taking the same 2 hours to create your character as you did before... Never getting tired of those perk and trait and skill descriptions and drawings... PipBoy portraiting them all and this song in the intro... GOD GIVE ME MY YOUTH BACK
@thaleslinke Why don't you try playing Fallout once again?
I'm doing so at the moment [and NOT for the first time, I assure you] and, no matter how many years have passed since its release, THE GAME STILL ROCKS.
Some old games are a pain to come back to after all these years (when we had Crysis, Oblivion, and other), but I can say - Fallout 1, 2 is not one of them.
Makes me think of the good ol' days when I was playing one of my first computer games. Fallout was a game of epic proportions and this was a great blast from the past. Thank you.
Maybe, I'll take an arrow to the knee.....

@webb20k turn based bullshit ?
I finished Fallout several times, and am going to finish it some more later.
But I am not even considering the option of seriously touching Fallout 3.
Being what it is, 3 is trash compared to 1 and 2, that's the truth.
I saw my comrade play it a lot, and I was genuinely disgusted by it.
The graphics are nice, and the voice acting is nice, other then that
the game is a piece of garbage.

@godverdegodverdomme You are just full of nostalgia. Nostalgia is sort of like a drug.
I would rather listen to the opinion of a cocaine junkee then a gamer shot up on nostalgia.
iWearCapeIRL 1 year ago
@iWearCapeIRL You know, that's kind of like saying; I'd rather listen to baseless
claims made by ignorant yought about the second world war, then actual stories
from people that were there.
Besides, often nostalgia is not the reason for older gamers to dislike newer
games. The matter of fact is just that most games produced today lack distinctiveness, and originality. Or they simply piss on their own grandfathers,
by not including original creators for example. Turning gold into shit.
godverdegodverdomme 1 year ago
@Kaputznefreble no way I like Bethesda's RPG style fallout games a lot more than Black Isle's RTS style
