  • So at first I was feeling really smug because I knew all the answers and that never happens for me in Jeopardy... then I realized it's because I'm 12 years older than these kids were :/

  • awwwwww ITS TOO BAD YUOU LOST, I WAS ROOTING FOR YOU DUDE!

  • What's funny is that I knew a lot of the answers. XD And I'm 13. :D

  • the black kid pwns you

  • You're so cute and smart Neville!

  • How was it like to be on Jeopardy? Was it scary? Was it exciting? Is it like one of those times where it gets scary at first then you get used to it? Thanks :)

  • What is the Solar System for $800?

Answer: One of the Daily Doubles.

  • First doing pretty good and then losing everything in the end... hm, hard luck I guess. xD

  • David is so adorable

  • wow' im wouldnt dare betting more than 100 dollars in last round

  • haha I like your fish's name.

  • Man, that stuff is pretty easy.

  • Pretty good episode, by the way, this is show #3697.

  • @maggio211 Glad you approve :D Since we're talking trivia here, I think I've only seen one or two other episodes with closer scores before FJ - do you have any stats on that?

  • too cute!!

  • The shame is, when I first saw the category, I could only think of Justin Beiber

Ohh, I was rooting for you, but still, nice job

  • @moneyplays17 Justin Beiber was not even born when this took place.

  • these kids are waaaay smart!

  • You were very cute.

  • gratz man you played an epic game

  • but the boy was the genius.

  • that girl is very clever.

  • I got everyone one right in all categories except like 5

  • i tokk it and got 22,600

  • ooo

  • why would they bet when they had no answer???

  • you have to wager first, before the clue.

  • dude if u didnt know why did u wager??

btw...i didnt know tiger woods was on jeapordy

  • Congratulations, Neville! I hope you're proud of your performance, because you should be. What a thrill it must've been to be on Jeopardy!

Do you still play chess, by the way?

  • aww david is so cute and smart. but they were all very intelligent.

  • fo sho

  • Is it just me but the pool of money is much smaller for kids then for adults?

    How ageist!

  • this was before it got changed to 200,400,600,800,1,000

  • lol at 7:20 u probably wanted to kill that girl

  • Awesome game!

  • lol nice job! too bad for that wager..but hey u got national TV experience...

2000 doesn't seem like that long ago......

  • 1:19, TRICK QUESTION Pluto's not a planet! HA IN YOUR FACE JEOPARDY! :D

  • back when this was aired pluto was still considered a planet.

  • Haha I know I was just joking around

  • @neallasta I still consider it a planet.

  • uhhhh stupid! its in 2000!

  • I'm praying you're kidding... :D

  • Why wouldn't you just wager one dollar if you didn't even put anything for the final answer?

  • If you're a regular viewer, you'd note that contestants wager before hey see the clue. The wagering happens during the commercial break.

  • I never knew that!

  • hahahahahahahahaha this video is hilarious

  • Glad you enjoyed it!

  • wow! ur really smart and adorable.too bad u didnt win

  • You're too kind! :)

  • very nice runs on the three contestants, I was having fun answering the questions xD

  • awesome job i love jeopardy

  • i just took the online adult contestant test yesterday! i don't think i'll make it though :X

  • howd u do that?

  • it was open to anyone to sign up on the jeopardy website. it only happens like once a year though

  • Wow the funny thing is i answered all the questions except for 1 in part 1 and 2 from this video! i could have one if i had been there

  • you could have won, too

  • Who cares?

  • Wow, that must have been fun anyways. I have thought of going on Jeopardy. I don't know much about popular culture though.

  • It was a lot of fun :) And I'd encourage anyone to try out - I feel like they ask more questions that have to do with literature, history, politics, and all that than pop culture. Sure, there always is some sort of pop culture, but you don't need to get every question right to win! :)

  • Why when they don't have an answer in final jeopardy do they risk all their money?

    Really why

  • I've answered this before, but I will answer it again:

You wager before you see the clue - once the clue is shown, you can't change your wager. So the timeline is:

    Category revealed

    Wagers are made

    Clue revealed

30 seconds to write down response

    That's why! :)

  • Ariel's cute haha "uhmm..what is gone with the wind?"

  • David won the Kids Week Reunion show, too! He is unstoppable!

  • I cheered for David like it was the presidential race all over again! Then I called my mum and had her watch it and she was cheering for him too. But all those children are incredibly smart. When they hit the first math question...Wow! They ought to do a follow up sometime with these kids, a "Where Are They Now" kind of thing. Thanks Neville for the post.

  • yeaaaaaaaaaaaaa, david!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i was rooting for david

  • Ahaha. I never understand why people wager so much on a lack of an answer.

  • fo realz? You wager on the category, before you see the clue; unless you're certain you don't know the category, you wager to win.

  • lol you dumbass, you cant be serious?

  • HA! Pluto's not a planet!! You just lost $800 XP

  • Psh, it was at that time.

Although, it probably shouldn't have ever been a planet.

  • Good game :P

    I beat you though :P

  • you were in this?

  • You played a good game in both this and "Crosswords", Neville. I can tell you now that I never would have survived the bonus round in "Crosswords". You've got guts.

  • lolol good game till the end i felt harry was a dead give away tho

  • Glad you enjoyed it. These days, I think Harry is a giveaway, but not to 12 year olds 8 years ago.

  • ye ur right i went and asked my sister shes 14 and she had no clue : p guess it depends on how much u watch news:/ but u did good.

  • why did you guys wager so much ??

  • We were quite a ballsy bunch, I'd say!

  • Not to offend but you sound like you were punched in the crotch before the show

  • Ha! No offense taken, my friend! My voice was absurdly high back then - I think your analogy is right on track.

  • Bummer. That was soooo close until final Jeopardy. Though for a second I thought that he had wagered $5,000,000 and not $5,000 I was like O_O

    Lol.

  • It looked like a close game because they were close to the $6000 mark. xD

  • He does, its just not noticible cause of his big white teeth! He may have had braces...I have a friend like that, she got braces, and looked like that for a long time!

  • Dude that sucks. You were amazing in the main part of the show and I liked the Bob Saget joke. The final jeoparty question was just tough luck, no one goes around memorizing people's pet's names.

  • That may be so, but when its a famous teenager, who has a little brother named Harry, thats a dead give away, especially when you're a teenage girl who has a crush on the then, not so balding, Prince William.

  • dont hate in David

  • That was a big bummer in FINAL JEOPARDY!, wasn't it?

  • You said it, my friend!

  • You gave up everything!!! You and that little girl..I'm just kidding, you did a fantastic job, I would have froze up completely if I was you...lol Suprised that you got so many the the Ballet questions right.

  • LOL

  • Thanks!

  • Where are the credits?

  • I edited them out so that I could fit this in two videos.

  • If David wagered $4800 in the Daily Double, would he have been in the $10000?

  • I don't understand your question, I'm afraid.

  • I meant if he had the daily double question right, he would have $10000

  • Does that answer your opinion, nylons162?

  • Pity about the FInal jeopardy question. In Britain that would be easy. Answer: The true winner Question: Who is Ariel?

  • Absolutely! But back in 2000, I don't think that William and Harry were in the news as much on this side of the pond, and the fact that eleven and twelve year olds like us didn't do much newsreading at the time didn't help, either!

  • Haha. Pluto's not a planet anymore! :-)

  • why the hell would u risk everything and not write down and answer.

  • You wager before you get the question.

  • Someone needs to learn how Jeopardy works.

  • neville got owned!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it just proves that the woodlands is better then kingwood.

  • I don't think it proves anything about the Woodlands at all :)

  • They were easy questions compared to normal Jeopardy, but for preteens I could definitely see how those would be hard. Heh, you're a chess player? Me too, although I haven't been into it as much lately. Went to a lot of tournaments when I was that age though.

  • when i was that age , i wouldve owned

  • homescoolers rule!!!!!!

  • wow chill out man i was just trying to help

if it didnt help at all just dont comment back

  • i basically have a mind of a 5th grader..i got like 20+ right

  • Nowadays it's 2000 for second place and 1000 for third, although I don't know what it was back then.

  • It's been the same since 1999. 2000 for second 1000 for third and the winner gets what he/she scores with a guaranteed minimum of about $10k. If it were done in the UK cash prizes wouldn't exist.

  • For some reason, Ariel is really annoying.

I got 23 right (both DDs), 2 wrong.

I just wish the DDs had come on my show T_T I got both of MINE wrong.

  • Thanks!

  • Ariel, I don't think you're annoying at all! If anyone's annoying, it's David, because he won! :)

    Much love,

    Neville

  • Hey! I resent that... lol

  • hater... David deserved it

  • I'm not hating! I'm just saying that it was a close fought match! I think we all learned something about ballet that day :)

  • who dares to give me a thumbs down for expressing that the one who answered correctly deserved to win. thumbs down ya sef

  • holy crap that was close!

I've never gotten so excited about this show before.

  • i just hate it when they loose it all at the end.damn shame...

  • i got 9 right ^_^

  • How exciting to play on Jeopardy! at just 12!

  • OMG YOU WERE ON TV

  • Yes, I was!

  • lol when you said "sugarplum fairy" i almost fell on the floor laughing

  • i love your name

  • Thanks :)

  • I don't know why, but that black child doesn't have an upper lip.

  • Neville... You're a crazy broad.

  • but you have good penmanship.

  • Thanks! :)

  • Good job Neville!

My High School English teacher was a contestant on Jeopardy (the regular adult variety), and he lost on a much more ridiculous question than that one. Did they send you home with a year's supply of Rice-a-Roni or anything? *L*

  • No Rice-aRoni :) But I did get a trip to Universal Studios and a computer!

  • the kid said ploootoe not pluto

  • hey bud quick questions do u keep in contact or ever seen any of your competitors ever again after the show aired

  • I'm Facebook friends with them, but we don't talk too much.

  • duh, why did you wager all your money, there would still be a possibility you could win with 52000

  • dude how old are you?

  • I was 12 then - now I'm 19.

  • so ur goin to uni or college now? what do you do man im guessing something up thr

  • Yes, I'm a sophomore at Washington and Lee University now.

  • u know your geography

  • Thank you - I went on to the Texas state geography bee later that year and the next, but I was defeated in the preliminary rounds of each.

  • That was very good though, despite missing Final Jeopardy. You were a cute kid! =)

  • Thank you very much!

  • i love jepardy. but that was weird.

  • Sigh, my mom wants to say that you look cute...

  • Tell your mom thanks! :) (Moms can be like that)

  • OMG!u were on jeopardy..thats awesome..its my fav gameshow

  • two things-

those questions are pretty easy AND

if u press the button before the question ends, will it still count or what?

  • Yes, Kids Week episodes do have easier question than regular play shows. If you ring in before the question ends, you are actually locked out from ringing in again until a fraction of a second after the clue is read. For it to count, you must ring in after lights on either side of the gameboard (not shown on camera) light up - these always light up after Alex finishes reading the clue aloud.

  • yeah i knew most of these. But im in 7th grade so i guess its not fair for me to judge. but i still cant believe they didnt get roswell

  • No - that's how old I was when then was taped, so your judgment is completely fair! :) I felt silly for missing Roswell, though, because Mom and I were talking about Roswell on the flight out the LA to tape the show because we more or less flew over the town!

  • Again, you wager before the clue comes up. In order to win, I would've needed to bet $4801 to beat David if he did a full bet (which he did.) Ariel could've beaten me with the bet she made (had she gotten the correct response) no matter what I wagered. There's no outstanding reason not to risk the additional $399.

  • Prince William!

  • 7 years ago? wow, man, nice! but why did u bet all your money at the final question if u didn't know the answer?:)

  • u rock

  • Thanks again!

  • Wicked awesome. you lost everything. well, at least you were with royalty, alex trebek.

  • Thanks! :)

  • lol why would you bet everything, if you didnt know the answer?

  • You wager during the break BEFORE you see the clue - a common misconception :)

  • 1 word..."BALLS"

good job Neville...lots of respect with that final wager...

  • Thanks!

  • Neville, were you also on "Merv Griffin's Crosswords"? I haven't caught your first clip, so I didn't get a chance to see the answer.

  • Yes, that was me on Monday's premiere of "Merv Griffin's Crosswords!" :)

  • Of course, Pluto's been reduced to a "dwarf" status now.

  • That's what happens when you watch game shows from 7 years ago :)

  • True.

  • Was this set as impressive in person as it is on television?

I always liked this set, and I couldn't stand the current one when it came out-- I still don't like the current one.

  • I agree, I liked all the sets from this one and before it. The others are bad, Naomi Slodki has lost her touch.

  • This is probably my favorite set that they've done for the show - also a fan of the metal grid background from the early 90s. Fun fact: the marble-looking ball at the bottom of Alex's podium is actually made of cardboard; I know because I kicked it :) Also, like most game shows, the set is much smaller in person.

  • Remember when the set changed from blue to red in Double Jeopardy!?
