This song is one of the most awesome, honest songs I've ever heard. It makes me remember my own childhood, and realize that this sort of thing is happening to me, too. Thanks, Dar! I'll always remember to climb a tree or two, now!
I love this song! It tell me interesting things, for example how wonderful children are! This song has got the best text of all the songs of the world, but the best voice ... The text is brilliant!
Most lose some sense of authentic self when we are trained to fill unnatural roles. Where there are differences, let them exist naturally, and where there aren't, we shouldn't force them. This song deals with the issue of what both genders have lost. People often see only how girls are damaged by traditional gender roles and overlook what happens to boys. I recommend the book "I Don't Want To Talk About It" by Terrence Real. It shows how gender stereotypes hurt everyone.
i was listning to my favorite song by her, the baby sitter's here, and i was reading a book that was really good and i turned to the last pageand there was the girl in the books favorite songs, and i saw that song. her screen name on AIM is smallboyonherbike. i thought i should check it out.
i saw her in austin, texas,i was a fan and thought i was ready emotionally to listen, but once she started sing i broke down.she is the empitomy realness
This is so awesome. I have no words for it.

This was the first Dar song I ever heard. My friend put it on the stereo, and asked me what I thought. I had him play it again, and then once more.
I was an instant Dar fan.

How brilliant. Yes the text, the tune, the performance, the nod to John and Paul (She Said She Said). Such an artist.

Great song w/ a great message about how we, as adults, get pigeonholed into roles that people expect you to play based on your gender.
