  • whoooooooooooo cares whos irish or not im part irish but who the hell cares this music rocks

  • This is Meav...not Lynn =P

  • A friend of mine sent me this song as an .mp3 a long time ago, and I've only known it as 'Track 4' for that entire time. Only recent discovered this is actual name of the song, and in turn, I'm starting to listen to all the rest of Celtic Woman :O

  • @Esifex Check out Altan while you're at it! I grew up listening to them; they're quite good. :)

  • it is Meav :) I think Lynn only sang Dulaman for concerts, correct me if I'm wrong :)

  • This song is a drop of joy and optimism . Go raith maith agat Celtic Woman !

  • Who's singing this? It sounds like Meav, but the picture looks like Lynn Hilary.

  • Irish Pride <3

  • Funny part is, she's trying to decide between two men by comparing them to seaweed I believe haha

  • this is why i wish i was irish.. love you ireland!!! <3

  • Endless Ocean: Blue World introduced me to this song. I regret nothing!!!

  • @ThePolerbearproducts

Dúlamán means channelled wrack in the Gaelic language. Yes, this song is played in Endless Ocean: Blue World in the Cortica River in the Amazon River.

  • this is meav singing, not lynn hilary

  • I love this song. I know of it from Endless Ocean: Blue World and then at the Dublin (Ohio not Ireland) Irish Festival I heard Moya Brennan sing it. LOVE IT!

  • LOVE this song! My favorite version of this song is done by Altan, though. Celtic Woman is good, but I actually understand it better and learned it from the Altan version.

  • Mi piace da morire! *.*

  • This song is bloody magical, enough said.

  • one of favorites to :D

  • so beautiful!!

  • I <3 this song. My 5 Yr Old Brother even sings this!!

  • The "EDIT" didn't help.

It looks like Lynn in the photo, but it is definitely Meav singing.

  • @lostmansays I've heard a few different things about this song, but mainly they point to it being a seaweed gathering song. Apart from that, I've heard it referred to be a wedding song as well.

  • @xxTheMiddleGroundxx I saw them perform live, and it's actually about a girl having to choose between two men, and to help pick she compares each one to a piece of seaweed.

  • @Nibichan holy smoke that means i was very close in my guess what this song is about

  • @Nibichan gasp! lucky, u saw them live?!

  • @silverhowler999 I first saw Celtic Woman do this live about three years ago in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Meav had left the group, but Lynn Hillary did a very fine job on Dulaman. I saw her do it again two years ago in Kansas City when I was in the 2nd row (about 15 feet from the stage). This year, Lynn was gone, but the newest Celtic Woman member Lisa Lambe did a rousing "new" version with a bit different arrangement and greater power than before.

  • @1sorryham I completely agree. I love Lisa Lambe's version - and she's a sweetheart to boot!! Very personable when we met her and easy to talk to - enjoyed our night completely!! Can't wait to see the next show!!

  • Its about seaweed, right?

  • @LostManSays Yeah. I think it's an conversation between an Irish seaweed and a stately seaweed or something.

  • @annerenny

she's trying to decide between two men by comparing them to seaweed I believe haha

  • this song is from A new Journey album, sung by Meav. She was a former when The Greatest Journey was recorded

  • this is Meav. Her voice is so PERFECT!

  • LOVE THIS SONG BEST ONE

  • @hermionegranger79

No, it's not. It's definitely of Lynn Hilary.

  • i love this song even though it about mating seaweed

  • The love song where a women compares two men to two different types of seweed :)

    It's true!

  • I'm so happy that I'm learning gaelic, is maith liom Celtic Women! I love Celtic Women!

  • God Im proud to be Irish

  • @94Darkstar céanna anseo

  • This song is soooooo beautiful. Her voice is amazing!!! :D

  • This song is amazing :D oh my Lord haha I can't wait to sing this in choir! :D

  • l love the little love story behind this its sweet/funny!

  • I Love this amazing love all there music

  • @misslaxlover07

I got tickets to see them last year for my birthday in october!! But it also counted as my christmas present, BUT!! It was sooooo worth it!!! <3

  • Great song! Too bad i can't speak this language

  • This song is sooo amazing! I'm in love and proud to have some Irish blood in me!

  • I'm sure that it's Meav. Her voice is at a slightly higher pitch than Lynn's. She also has a touch more range. Love both of them, though.

  • @lucye211

SSSOOOO TRUUUEEE! I'm asking for tickets for my birthdayyy:)))

  • CELTIC woman are da bomb digity!!!!

  • meav, of course. lynn is not qualified to reach this level of Celtic song. her Dulaman sounded like pop.

  • I LUV THIS SONG!!! I never knew it was Irish until now!!! Its hard to sing since i am Canadian

  • The Celtic Women have such gorgeous voices. This is by far my favorite song, though. I may be an American, but it fires up my Irish blood.

  • I've got a recording of Lynn singing it. Both are nice, but like Meav. It's almost her trademark!

  • ¡¡uɐɯɐlnp ¡¡ǝɯosʍɐ

  • But Meav sings it and Lynn is on the photo :P Great song ;)

  • Dúlaman means 'seaweed' in Gaelic, and this song is about these guys who want this girl :P

  • I can't stop listening, ITS AMAZING

  • What language is this in? My only guess is Gaelic, but that's solely based on Celtic being in their name.

Unless of course Celtic is a language. In that case, I'll feel like a fool.

  • @Goryal It is Gaelic

  • @Goryal Its Gaelic, Irish Gaelic

  • @Goryal

it's our native language Gaeilge (Irish). They do us Irish proud!!

  • I have this CD and yeah, is Meav singing. cannibal1307 is right. You have to see Celtic Woman live in order to hear Lynn sing this song.

  • Heard this in Endless Ocean two - I love this. : D

  • This is Meav singing. I've got the DVD recording. Besides, Lynn Hilary is one of the new ones. I think she took Meav's place for a while because Meav got pregnant, or she's a replacment of because Meav left to be a soloist.

  • this IS lynn. i saw them live recently, it's her!

  • @RockerSoccerChick1 Maybe now that Lynn has joined she sings it instead. But the 'original' version was sung by Meav on the Celtic Women CD A New Journey, and when I saw them when Meav was still with them, she was the one who sang it in one of her solos.

  • @cannibal1307 Yes, this sounds like the version sung by Maev. I've never hear Lynn sing this but this sounds exactly like Maev's song.

  • @RockerSoccerChick1 this is definitely NOT Lynn. Lynn replaced some of Maev's songs on live shows because the two of them got nearly the same timbre. But their voices are unique enough to differ between them on records.

This version is definitely the one from "A New Journey" sung by Maev

  • I did not know that there was a version of Lynn in an album, I'll listen it =)

  • @weienell1 There is not an albulm version of Lynn singing this song. you have to see her live if you want to hear it. All of their CD's with this song is Meav singing.

  • Love it!

  • this is definitely Méav singing! But if anyone has a good recording of Lynn singing this song, I'd really like to hear it. She did a great job in the Songs from the Heart tour.

  • This is my Girlfriends favorite song and i understand why

  • THIS IS MEAV NI MHAOLCHATHA! LOL

  • i wish i spoke Gaelic!!!!!! T_T

  • @JessieJay13 me two it would be cool

  • i know this whole song

  • Yeah...this Meav...not Lynn.

  • Yeah this is Meav singing not Lynn. but who care I like Meav anyway.

  • Very Good Lynn, But Doesnt This Sound A Bit Slower Than The Original?

  • @MichaelZelenak11212

    Actually, this is meav singing.

  • This is Meav singing but either way i love this song!

  • aperantly its talkinging about an irish mans daugter and a a man from the outside world that wants to take her w him but instead of saying ppl they say seaweed and the ocean as the world

  • My favourite song apart from siuil a run

  • She is an angel!

  • I think that this is Meav, not Lynn.

    but my favorite most definitely!

  • yes, this is deinitely Meav!!!

I love this and I can sing it in Gaelic!!!

    I've listened to it enough!

  • @brwneydgrl00

    yep its Meav

  • It's definitely Meav singing. When I first heard them on TV this was my favorite song by Celtic Woman. When I saw them live in 2007 at Radio City Music Hall, alas Meav was not there. I figured I wouldn't get to hear this song but I was wrong. It was actually sung by Haley that night and she did a FANTASTIC job! Almost as perfect as Meav.

  • @brwneydgrl00 its meav :)

  • One of their best

  • so awsome.i am going to their 2010 tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i am their BIGGIST FAN! IF YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE THEN THINK AGAIN.Not to be rude.
