"To all who come to this happy place: Welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past...and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America...with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world."
I got to go to Disneyland last year for my 42nd birthday. It renewed my belief in magic, and made me feel like a kid again. Thank you, Walt, for sharing your dream.
@MayPhoenix Awww thats so wonderful! Disneyland has that special power that makes you feel like a kid and live your dreams of being a princess or pirate!
The govenor then was more of a leader than our Mr Obama. God please help our Country survive. That was America. Take a drive around any major inner city and all you see is filth, Meth addicts, socialists. It makes me want to vomit. I wish we could take America Back to when the majority believed in Capatalism, respect and dignity
It's spelled governor, and he wasn't even a Republican when Disneyland opened in 1955. Also, "Mr Obama" is The President of the United States. Please stop acting like this country has gone to hell in the 10 months since the President has been in office;there were meth addicts and filth and "socialists" in this country long before he ever became President. If you want to "take America back" have a little more "respect and dignity" than you claim we somehow lost.
This man is my hero! I am very sad that I never got to meet him butttt.. he made the best place on this earth. it is my first home :). they should make up a movie about this man! :D
My Dad was the 29th employee hired by Walt Disney himself as Manager of Admissions at Disneyland. His name is Curtis Lineberry and he and my family and I were at Disneyland for the opening. Great Memory!
Yeah so do I. I bet meeting him would be something awesome to say on show and tell day. "I met Walt Disney himself." NO ONE would believe you!
That man was just amazing. Everytime I go to Disneyland I have to look up at the firehouse apartment where he would stay where the light is. Everytime I see it I smile and remember how amazing that man really was.
You are absolutely correct. I wish I could have met him too. I am often made fun of for my love and passion for Disney and Disneyland, but I am one that holds what I call the Peter Pan Attitude, I dont wanna grow up. Even as mosy my age have grown out of Disney and Mickey Mouse, being there often brings tears to my eyes. It really is a magical place!
you have truely made my day, my week, and put a memory in my heart, for i love disneyland and walt disney for all the happiness that they have brought to the entire world. So once again thank you and good day
Simply an amazing place!!!

I really want to say something about the lack of black people, but that would undermine the actual coolness of this video.
