@picklecatcus Great idea. Then maybe I can hire Micheel Gondry to film all my stuff since after spending some money I must obviously have ALL THE MONEY!
Very Nice DIY... I would suggest to add a counterweight to the back of the rig.. and offset the rig to the right side so it takes the stress away from your right hand/arm.. so its easier to control and stabilize your rig
Hey, I'm making my own based on this design at the moment. Finding t hard to get brackets with holes 60mm apart. Looks like i'll have to make my own. Anyway, what i was really wondering was if in the time since posting this video you had actually gone out and made your matte box and follow focus as they are next on my list and would be interested to see your results if you have.
@jmarcinho I got the clamps in the same place as the copper pipes, in the plumbing section of my local B&Q. They were available in the same sizes as the pipes, so mine were 15mm.
@SolarMechanic I wish I could find these clamps... our local Home depot and Lowes don't appear to have them. If possible, next time you are in your local Hom depot, could you please ask what the name, or model number is? Thanks!
I don't get it, you can spend $700+ on a camera but not $300 or more on a shoulder rig, there are plenty on amazon for very affordable prices

@SolarMechanic I meant no harm by it, your rig looks good.. Meant it more of a question but it seems to have come off as a insult.. My apologies.

This is sick! I like the lightweight design aspects. What do you think of using a similar setup for a light miniDV camera like the DVX100B?
