These one day strikes aren't worth a carrot..when will O'Connor,Begg,Doran & Co grow a pair of balls and go for an all out strike across the board in all sectors until we change for once and for all the social fabric and so called democracy of this country...the unions have as much a 1916 birthright with the Irish Citzen Army as the so called republican party FF...they should close this kip down until the wealth is distributed fairly and get the country away from the grip thatcherism FF want....
Why is the Irish workforce, particularly PAYE sector, both private and public, argueing with each other. It is vital that the public sector hold fast to preserve the benchmark of pay and terms for all workers to aspire too. Can you not see that those that caused the mess are trying to create an economy of cheap labour, the same trick that was pulled in the 80's. If the pub sector unions break, the private sector won't have a leg to stand on in their industrial relations battles.
I agree 100%..this is nothing more than the far right of FF along with CIF/IBEC getting ready for unsurge in the economy and driving down wages for ordinary workers public or private..they will use the example of the public sector paycut as a stick to beat the rest of us with...FF didn't have a problem putting 10 billion into anglo-irish or 7 billion into AIB/BOI not to mention NAMA to bail out their mates..if the gardai go on strike they will shit themselves and call out the army....
Your no use on the sidelines Joe....we need people like you in the Mainstream of irish politics....
