  • Large Professor is the original Kanye West. Great producer. On another note those into music production or artist that might need beats stop by my channel and give my material a listen. All comments and feedback is appreciated. One.

  • back when MTV actually did music

  • Best thing of all is when u hear the actual part which DJ takes to scratch in a different song. I'm about to set it on society, watch me while i do it.

  • @MsTrance1 ed.og & the bulldogs- i got to have it

  • @MsTrance1 Yeah definately A tribe called quest; the low end theory, midnight marauders, and beats rhymes and life albums. De La Soul- Buhloone Mindstate. Listen to Pete Rock Petestrumentals album.

  • @MsTrance1 With out a doubt you NEED to hear Akinyeles Vagina Diner, poduced by Large Pro, Cuts by Rob Swift, 3 of the best, very under rated album. Anything by big daddy kane and rakim is a safe bet too, beatnuts, early kool keith, ultramags, lord finesse/bigL has some ill lyrics too.

  • all night long, alll mother fucking night long ya feel me?

  • @KidFaw Yessirrrrr

  • whoops after a little research i can see that Geffen records was eventually bought by Universal Music Group, who is responsible for vevo and otehr forms of content favouritism. i think it was geffen records that released this stuff.

  • notice how this era of music still hasn't been cropped by vevo and our friends at universal music. dont think it ever will. god bless these boys, they remain among their communities and stay true to there dreams.

  • About Kanye; I bought college drop out strictly cuz of through the wire...was seriously disapointed with that album...If I can get the music free, I can't hate so.....I can't hate but, hip hop is not what it was in the 90's....

  • Damn these "rappers" now are wack and lame as shit.. Damn it is a shame u have to dig into ur crates to listen to REAL hiphop..

  • Is it mef in the brief clip in the start?

  • why are people ALWAYS comparing old school to mainstream IM DONE

  • @jermain703 their not comparing, their straight out saying this is real hip hop, mainstream is hip - POP

  • This beat is retarded! Large Pro is the man!

  • i dont see kanye anywhere in this video

  • his third verse is the same as the first one

  • @starlo3 So? The first verse is so goddamn fresh it wouldnt hurt the song if he repeated it 10.000 times.

  • Yo thats a classic joint right there. True Hiphop, timeless. Imo, this also shows Hiphop isn't dead - people misunderstood what Nas said and blew that shit out of proportion. There will always be heads picking up this record, digging the beats and feeling the rhyme, no matter the year no matter the place no matter the time. And that's why we'll never die in this. You think I'm lying this? Check out LP, the Mad Scientist!

  • kanye is a cocky greedy pop hoe..

fuck him and jay z hiphop abusers..

  • all lp trax are hot

  • allways a pleasure listen to shit like this...brings back a lot of memories:)

  • ill as fuck

  • muzyka mojego dzieciństwa i wczesnej młodości

  • back when folks wore labels just to have them get blurred out

  • its a shame that i have to dig to hear hiphop! old school rule

  • @miro5753 Thing is there is plenty of good hip-hop now. You sheep is just lazy and out of touch. And I ain't talking about mainsteam rappers neither.

  • Comment removed

  • @dcsg10 there s a few artists that i feel today...but overall old school artists had more substance....and also they were more accessible u dig! ...me,out of touch...maybe

  • I'm called the Mad Scientist Extra P

About to set up shop and drop this next degree

  • whhhhhhhat?! I'll name 10: Nas Common Guru Mos Def Talib Kweli Raekwon 2Pac GZA Black Thought AZ
  • no one gives a fuck about your list... ye fucking plonker

  • Maybe not, but just in case, here are ten more people that flow better than Kanye: Prodigy Dizzy Rascal Chuck D Inspeactah Deck Biggie Jay-Z Atmosphere Vanilla Ice Will Smith My 12 year old nephew
  • Hahahah my 12 year old nephew! Classic

  • @FiendishFuManchu atmosphere is not an mc, get a clue newphew

  • @playin4chubbs Even so, still bet he raps better than Kanye

  • @FiendishFuManchu

when playin4chubbs said that Atmosphere is not an MC, he was right.

Atmosphere is a duo. a group. Not one man, but 2. Slug is the MC.

  • @l33tatrl True, but I bet both could still rap better than Kanye

  • @FiendishFuManchu

You're ignoring what either of us tried to say. We were merely saying that Atmos was a hip-hop group, not one man, but two. I don't care if Slug flows better than Kanye. It has nothing at all to do with what playin4chubbs and I said. And we don't really have any proof that Ant can spit better than Ye. He is a hell of a producer, but I've never personally heard him spit. So even then your point (which neither of us was arguing) is not tested, and therefore invalid.

  • @l33tatrl "You're ignoring what either of us are trying to say"

Tread lightly, wouldn't want you to get arrested by the irony police

  • Kanye's flow is weak.. and he doesn't write his own shit. LP is classic

  • @h8rplayer

    Who writes his raps?

  • @JustBrowsingMeng

    who is second?

  • @ESSENCEOFEACHTHING he writes his own raps

  • @h8rplayer - AND Kanye can't rhyme to save his life

  • Kanye is classic

  • @chrslbrt my bad accidently put thumbs up meant thumbs down

  • @HIPHOPJT1 Say what you want, but Kanye can rhyme. And in terms of his production, few if any can combine an oldschool sample vibe with modern production techniques. His production is amazing. Dude hasn't had a bad album either. I think alot of underground and old school hip hop heads hate everything mainstream without direct discretion but Kanye isn't typical mainstream.

  • @chrslbrt i dont hate all mainstream...kanye is better than some but alot are better than him

  • @chrslbrt that auto tune comerical shithead is shit!

  • his voice and flow is CLASS A+

  • large pro is such a dope rapper

  • this shit is tight. fuc wat u heard and his flow is nice on this

  • WOW! This takes me back! Large was the shit back in the day! Him,Preemo, and Pete Rock were my fav producers back in the day! Diamond D was pretty sweet with the beats 2! This is a gem, thanks 4 posting this reminder that once upon a time REAL Hip Hop was mainstream!

  • FIRE

  • These are the type of beats that need to come back! Down with Autotune!

  • neva had a basement, neva had an attic, only an apartment where i fo eva had static

  • muuuui weeeeno

    broda!!!

  • no-one can f*ck with this. i agree, large pro definitly hit with this sample! the live guy with glasses has definitly got the esscence.

  • No one flipped this sample better than Large Pro. Pete Rock comes in 2nd for the "PJ's" track. That shit was ill, too.

  • you think im lyin this/the mad scientist

    4 all real beat makers

  • Comment removed

  • Capital P with the ill shit! What the kids know about Large Professor????

  • im a kid right here! 14 years old and reppin that old school hip hop!

  • I was a MAD SCIENTIST last halloween.

    This was my theme song!!!!!

  • "sandworms" (Dave Matthews)

  • Davis Matthews actually, not to be confused with Dave the bro-hero.

  • sorry, its DAVID....typo

  • word up! large professor is whats up, just read about this guy in the newest waxpoetics mag

  • one of my favorite, such a flow..

  • Large Pro was so underrated as an Emcee!

  • Pretty cool, didn´t knew this one before...just "Maaad crew" from Red and Meth´s "Blackout" Album-Erick Sermon used the same sample for the Beat.

  • Okay...please don't think I'm dissing cause Extra P has always been one of my favorites, and Main Source was one of the best groups in Hip Hop hands down.

But if you listen to his flow on this track and listen to his flow on the First Class album, there is virtually no change. He ain't got worst and he ain't got better either. LOL!

Guess it doesn't matter though, production was always his thing. Either way, big up to a true hip hop legend.

  • one of the illest tracks ever dropped, period.

  • amazing!!!!!

  • The live guy with glasses.

  • Big-Up, Large Professor. Before, Now and Forever.

  • Extra P!

  • so ill - Dave Mathews joint from DUNE soundtrack...amazing beat! Extra P is one of the kings of the sp1200 + S950 combo.

  • This shit still gives me the rush and makes me hyped.

  • put it through the S950 then stretch it

  • Large Pro is definitely one of the best producers on the mic

  • so many of the great producers give a lot of respect to large professor, i mean premo, pete rock, ali shaheed, havoc, beatminerz yo say yo extra p changed that style of sound got hip hop out of the heavy jazz samples and brought us into the great sound of 94

  • oh hell yes

  • Man, this takes me back to college! This was one of favorite tracks back in the day.
