does he not know any thing about audio editing software like cool edit cubase pro tools etc. there is an option in effects called noise reduction now speaking on people screaming and stuff of course its gonna pick it up you just got to be in a normal quiet room but that air sound you can hear when he says he cut the air off can be fixed with a click of a couple of buttons!
I just bought a Blue Yeti. I believe it was a waste of money & I will be returning it. I had previously owned a Blue Snowball, which was terrible. I thought the Yeti might be better. I go into a room that is quite, with no noise around, & I still pick up background noise, & I can hear the echo of the room. I was considering getting the AT microphone before. I think I will return the Yeti & try the AT microphone. I am confused at to how you get such great quality with Yeti, doesn't work for me.
@Subliminalhiphop the mic works great for me now. I'm very computer competent, but for some reason my computer did not pick up my Yeti to use so I wasn't actually getting its quality. After figuring out some settings I got it to work very well & enjoy the mic. I thought this might have been the issue with the snowball as well, I tried it for kicks knowing that the Yeti would be better anyway, I still didn't like the snowball. Oh well, I'm happy with the Yeti now. & it's for Podcasting.
Hey, I'd like to know if the blue yeti does well with loud noises and screaming? I'm currently casted on an online parody that requires a lot of shouting and my current mic always peeks when I start getting too loud. I don't mind that the yeti is noise sensitive, but it would really be a selling point for me if I could scream in it and everything come out crystal clear. : D
So here in the next week or so I would like to do my video and submit it as a response to yours where I will go into detail a bit about why I got the Yeti, whats good about it and bad about it, and then compare it to a more high-end headset mic.
My Yeti does not perform the way I would like it seems to pick up my house noises more than my voice for some reason unless I am close to it and thats only good for voice overs not live commentary where I need to sit back and use the computer.
Glad you did this video, it has a good purpose. I however do not think it was the most fair comparison. The clearchat is a $40 device and the Yeti a $150.00..
What happens when you get a $150 headset?? That is the test I will do soon as I just ordered a Logitech G930 today. My friends that use it sound just as good to me as I think I do on my Yeti.
The Yeti's size is another big issue, it blocks my screen so I have to move it to the side and in doing that I'm not talking directly into it.
I do thinking of go get a Yeti, but I have a kid....thanks man
