The Mecha sonic is just like the Mecha Sonic i see in Sonic sprite movies/videos. Excellent , i think it is really good. Just there should be better gameplay of the fighting and better quality , but i can't moan this is a old game i guess..

Btw after you defeat mecha sonic with sonic and everything dissapears, go into debug mode, then go out of it really quick, if you hear yourself die go back in. But other than that you can unlock a light blue sonic and a fusion between knuckles and sonic character i call fusion sonic. If you set one of the transform monitors you can use the red form but you cant go anywhere except for to each side of the screen. D: so hes useless, ill put up a vid soon about it though.

...What? Sonic 2 and Sonic & Knux are for the Genesis. Unless of course you're talking about the collection discs for PS2. In that case Sonic 3 & Knuckles should be on there as an option (or unlockable, at least).

WOW!! I only played Sonic 1&2, and Sonic&Knuckles2. Mecha Sonic isn't much of a challenge in those versions, but after seeing Neo Mech Sonic. I can see why some consider him a tough villian.

the sonic & knuckles games cartridge had a slot on the top of it allowing you to put either sonic 2 or sonic 3 into it alllowing you to play either as knuckles.

I think they're both considered the same now. In Sonic Heroes, we see what looks like Mecha Sonic (whom everyone calls Metal Sonic) transform into Metal Overlord. Then after the fight, he reverts back to his Metal Sonic form from Sonic CD. So, personally, I think that the long-debated debate over Metal Sonic vs. Mecha Sonic is basically put to rest now.

as knuckles, This was the first time i had heard the doosday zone tune,a few years ago, it wasn't until june, i found out about the doomsady zone. Heck, when i couldn't get to it, and didn't have a computer, i would play as knuckles and reach this part just to hear the tune.

Also theres a glitch that if you press the debug mode button right after you kill mecha sonic and then release it, then when the plane comes up, press debug mode and youll see an image of fusion super sonic, then release debug mode and after the plane flies away, you will drop down to the ground but right before you do, set some boxes to land on using debug mode, and set some rings, and you can transform into Super fusion sonic. Ill get the genesis plus plugin and show you guys soon.

Well Mecha Sonic is actually a term made up by Archie comics. He is called Metal Sonic according to the back of the Sonic & Knuckles US Box Art, and given the fact that Sonic 3 & Knuckles was developed and released in America first before the other two regions, I think he can be called either name.

Ever since they "streamlined" the series (read: ripped the heart and soul from), that would be correct. But the original Japanese storyline was a good bit different, and Metal Sonic played a far more central role to the plot than any of the others.

The level is only playable as Knuckles, but you were Sonic, who is blue. So when Knuckles appeared in the cut-scene, it thought he was still Sonic, so it made him blue.

U should definetly use Generator not genesis plus it supports way more games and hacks and it has much more accurate sound and animation.
