These vans are beautiful, I see them popping up everywhere, I think Ford is bringing over their European cargo van to compete, Sprinter blows everything else out of the water.
Too bad the engine is now not as fuel efficient just as fuel is becoming more expensive. MB went the wrong way on that one. Who the hell wants a 3 liter V6 with today's gas prices. They should make it a 2.0 liter turbo diesel mated to a 7 speed automatic tranny. It's a cargo van, acceleration times are irrelevant. Size and fuel efficiency are what matters. MB got one right and screwed up on the other account.
I had ALL vans here in the US and yes the Sprinter is untouchable! Of course Ford & Chevy are home made JUNK! They need to watch n learn how the Germans make a real van!
Agree on this its a shame DB decided to put a Dodge badge on such a fine vehicle..
Dodge has absolutely nothing to do with design/concept/engineering or anything at all with this vehicle DaimlerBenz had been making this the last 10 years outside of US and sold over a MILLION of this already
You would think the brand manager would show a van of each available color. Also why would I spend 50K on a van that does not come with GPS - although it does in Europe where mercedes respects the customer.
This is THE BEST Cargo/Trade Vehicle on the road today BAR NON!!! The only aftermarket accessory that could make this better is Taylor Ready System! Check it out: google Taylor Ready System, or search YouTube and or Yahoo for the video.
I have the panel van - Ive just got myself a new Grille kit for mine from MercedesSprinterConversions com - it is so cool - I cant wait to put it on, they seem to have the cheapest prices around for all conversions items - any dodge sprinter owner should check it out!
Disappointing, We were expecting the "Super single"tire to be released here. If you had downgraded a 4600 kg to below dot (10,001 lbs) that is the van we were waiting for. We can't get a standard pallet between the wheel arches on the 3500 model; it makes a real big difference in our business. So until a 10,000lbs van comes out with single wheels, we have decided to keep running our old sprinters. An opportunity missed to carry nearly 5,000lbs on a cargo van.
After seeing the launch in Europe we were expecting that "super single" tire design to be released here too. Had you down graded a 4600 kg van to below dot 10,001 lbs you would have sold a least 10 vans in my area straight away! We can't get a standard pallet between the wheel arches on the 3500 model and that makes a real big difference in our business. So until bring out a 9900lbs van with single wheels, we have decided to keep running our old sprinters.
I would live in that thing. It's HUGE.
