Wow! I know it's almost Halloween, but I can see there are many Democrats and Republicans here who reveal their ideological faces in their postings. As an Independent, I like Christie. He is direct and honest, not like Obama who hems and haws, so as not to offend anyone. If Governor Christie runs in 2016, he will get my vote.
This is the fat condesending, arrogant buffoon that conservatives wanna run for president?!? I can see this pos trial lawyer ripping into some innocent 13 yr old rape victim in court now......how the voters elected this foul mouthed, disrespectful parade float is beyond me...I say give him a dozen quarter pounders, a box of crispy creams and send his fat ass packing!
The translation of Governor Christie's remarks into his own native language would be "Oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink."
Excellent response and so true. Elected officials are not doing their job if they dont get into arguements with others. As long as its not hateful or threatening and equal opportunity to ask/answer questions WITHOUT being interrupted is the way it works.
Quick question...when at 1:05 he says "Maybe we could go back to the last administration and I could say it in a way you couldn't even understand it," was he referring to the Bush administration or the Corzine administration? (either one would apply in my opinion, I'm just curious if you knew).
@aloofbooks Hmm..... so are you suggesting we elect a lean, smooth talking politician who rarely takes a stand on an issue? oh wait! That describes the guy whos in the White house!

Christy might just be able to save our state of New Jersey. The challenge is huge, but so is he. (no pun intended.) I am glad I voted for him. The only people I know who hate him are teachers and employees of New Jersey Transit. I've heard them firsthand. But he can't please everyone and still be an effective governor. The dem's who critisized him and Kim G. for being out of state when the blizzard happened are insensitive a-holes.

@martdelcat And them he started giving orders while he was on vacation, deploying the National Guard to help and getting work done. NJ is doing way better than new York as far as responding to the blizzard. Besides who has taken more vacations than Obama and look at the mess we have been in for the last 2 years.
My state sucks. Why does New Jersey get Christie and California is stuck with Schwarzenegger (I have zero clue why he calls himself a Republican), and now we are getting Jerry Brown.
Whatever happened to men being tough and able to handle someone yelling at them? When did this country become so pussyfied. Go Governor Christie! Keep it up!!

I intend on running for city council as a Libertarian. I shall model myself after Chris Christie. Just one thing though. I don't think my body or wallet would allow me to consume as many calories. Just breaking his balls a lil bit. I love this guy.
Wasn't savior obama supposed to "fix" the educational system in this country? If a Republican was in the oval office the Liberals would be blaming the Republicans. Can anyone name one presidential candidate who WASN'T "the education president" during his campaign? Public education will never change! Think about it, we want people dedicated to the job irrespective of the pay. If teaching 8th grade paid $100k guess what I would be doing?
He screwed over my high school, and we were one of the lucky ones. He's trying to crack down on the unions, but hardworking teachers who actually care about their kids, like my sister, are going through hell because of it. It's frustrating. If he had to make the changes, make them over a longer span of time to make things less drastic. If the budget passes, I really do think NJ education will go down the dump. And no, I don't mind if he smacks the media around a little.
@MrGoji4evr Well he didn't do anything to your school. The njea and the boe are the ones who control the educational system in NJ. This is exactly why the education system is in the dumps already. The issue is time and we don't have any left. This is why this country is going down the tubes," why now when we can just put our problems off to another time and make the next generation deal with it". That ideology is the absolute wrong way to handle any problem we face.
@XxUrSoLoStxX The teachers are not the problem. They've become Christie's scapegoat. This debt didn't begin with just the teacher unions, but instead began with Governor Whitman and her faulty investments. Before her, we were solvent. Christie is punishing teachers and other public workers for the misuse of funds by corrupt government. If you think education is already in the dumps, then it's just going to get worse, and students are going to suffer for it.
@MrGoji4evr students have been suffering for many years now. The ideology that money grows on trees and we can just hand it out antime to anyone is over. Like i said there is no time left and action had to be taken. Do you wish for the system to collapse and get nothing or help the problem and not be it. The only people i hear cry about cuts are the unions and brainwashed teachers.
@XxUrSoLoStxX Then talk to firefighters and other public servants who are losing out too. Really it's futile to debate this. We can only voice our opinions. I respect yours. I hope you respect mine, for they're how I personally view this situation. If Christie can pull this off, then more power to him. I'm just narrowly missing the vicious crucible created by his actions, seeing the detrimental effects of his cuts firsthand.
@MrGoji4evr Well then, we should just privatize the school system and be done with it. Only scoundrels paying union dues take out their troubles on impressionable kids.
@MrGoji4evr No it won't. PRIVATIZE the school system! The greedy education system in New Jersey comprises 50% of the state's budget. Then Gov. Christie proposes a ONE YEAR freeze on your pay and contributions of 1.5% to your health plan and union sleeze like you dares to object when everyone else is suffering. To top it off, you threaten to take it out on the kids. You scum.
@aknotz Let's not forget about how NJ has lost billions in revenue due to the poor economy and business leaving NJ. Cuts will be made no matter what because we can no longer sustain this debt. And please make no mistake about it, Christie is not blaming the teachers... he is blaming the unions!
@davidc427 First of all, Christie's major fight is against the NJEA, which is a public-sector union. As for the private sector, a business' decision to leave NJ in an effort to avoid unions certainly does hurt the state, and it is ultimately the decision of the business owner himself. It is akin to these corporate behemoths that outsource jobs to places like India, where they can get away with paying people $1 an hour. For some people, a giant salary is more important than helping the economy.
@sandro28grizz I work for a big company that outsourced many of our departments to cut spending and it did not work out very well. The quality of the work was not nearly as good and the language barrier was a problem. They've stopped the outsourcing (for now or until a new regime takes over) and started hiring in-house. Of course it has nothing to do with helping the economy, it has more to do with helping the company. Hopefully more companies in NJ follow suit.
@davidc427 But outsourcing affects job creation, does it not? And a loss of jobs negatively affects our economy, does it not?
Any company that wishes to outsource jobs to a foreign country should be forced to move out of the country period. If a company wishes to outsource it's work to India, then that company's top executives must be deported. Big business doesn't give a fuck about the American worker, all they care about is lining their own pockets.
@sandro28grizz Let's not forget though, companies are about making money. Not unless they make it law not to outsource, a private industry could do what they please to which they think is best for their business (or their pockets).
@NWsubmom Well that is the exact tactic of the Liberals. When the policy is good, they revert to ad hominem attacks. They have nothing else to argue with.
@aknotz The attacks against him are horrible. Libs make fun of his weight, they hope he dies... just horrible things to say about someone they disagree with. So much for the tolerant left.
NJ would be happy to share Governor Chris Christie with everyone else. The beacon of REAL hope in America. I'm proud & honored he governors over my little sinkhole NJ. His actions aren't just words. =) True hope right here fellow Jerseyans..

What I just LOVE is the way Christie so simply and eloquently NAILS this typical liberal idiot reporter TO THE WALL!
The way he is speaking to him like a Teacher to a STUPID child is AWESOME.
No BS, just getting to the point!!
You are SO LUCKY!

Christie has gotten death threats from the NJ Teachers Union because he wants to give families more choice when it comes to educating their kids.
Christie has done a FANTASTIC job by sticking to his guns and having the GUTS to stand by his campaign promises.
HOW REFRESHING.
It really is a SAD state of affairs our country finds itself in when a politician like THIS is an total ANOMALY.
America needs to find a way to CLONE Mr. Chrisite and bring this country BACK to more HONEST government.
