Thank you so much for this video. Your information is very timely for me, since I just did my big chop in November. I have been watching YT videos for information, and what I have learned has been great thus far. I did learn early on not to buy into the idea of being a product junkie. Good advice about listening to YOUR hair. No need to let others tell you what products to use or put you down for using certain ingredients if those products work for you. I've big chopped 3 times in the last 10 years. Just felt like doing something different. Looking forward to sharing in your journey. You're looking very cute.

Are you okay, most women when we go through something tragic we take it out on our hair. I know that you said you wanted a fresh start but its not as if you had chemicals or anything in your. That being said what are you starting fresh from, it is still the same hair that will grow from your scalp. You are in my prayers I do enjoy your channel....2012 has to be better.

@happy2benappy1 My 2011 was amazing and im hoping 2012 will be even better.Teresa nothibg wrong with me and I have been talking a out cutting my hair for mobths...this wasnt a random decision. I'm a woman that like change and this.is one of them...my hair has no reflection on anything in my life...its not that deep.for me. Thanks for concern but i never been more blessed in my life.

@MissJay86 hi, thanks for asking. i am currently growing mine out. i have not cut it again since then. i had it cut and shaped up, but now it's all grown in. i am going to grow it out again and i can't wait to see what it looks like. let's go/grow together!!

@amyers1960 hats, turbans, and head wraps...if you have short hair unfortunately you are limited to atylea and gotta syart somewhere or wear yoir hair out..

Lmbo @Blue Magic as sealant. I do too and Crown Royal...only because in the 80's when I was a child my hair was extremely long and thick and thats what my mother used. :)

PD I just a 4th big chop on thursday just bcuz I like my hair short...I have been very encouraged by a book called the Science of Black Hair..Kimmaytube did a review on it and I def suggest you get it girl if you dont have it..It is a manual for black hair and the book is the BOMB!!!..So in 2012 im gonna follow that book and focus on growing healthy hair

Love the new look! My question is, if your natural hair is too short for a bun is it still necessary to do a protective style. My natural hair is about 4 inches on top and 2 and 1/2 inches in the back.

@mstaylor1ful if your hair isn't long enough for a bun, try "other" protective styles. The bun isn't the only style.

My natural hair ritual is to go out in the rain(summer rain) and wet my hair,Rainwater is good for your hair.i love the rain something about it makes me feel energize and free:)AlsoI have a sugamama day where i treat my hair to a deep hot oil treatment and moisture mask rich deep conditioner(mixed with rosemary oil) with my granny wilkins grease it has horsetail the bomb.com for growth.Keep up the natural videos, im a big fan :)

I am glad when you hit on the point that people like switching products all the time. Too many various products in your hair will damage your hair, (I believe). If people stick to one product that the hair loves it will grow. Only time people need to switch is when the product is no longer avaible. Other than that DONT SWITCH! Thats how you become product junkies. I keep products for my natural hair & weaves& keep it to a minimal.
