Jeez. I hate people who think that people who play Guitar Hero have no life. Quite a few of the best GH players do in fact know how to play guitar in real life. GH is just an easier way to learn strumming rhythm. And besides. Not everybody can go out, spend hundreds of money on a guitar, thousands on guitar lessons, hundreds more buying books of music, only to learn that they're at the tip of the iceberg. People play GH for fun. Stop trying to act big and tough and mind your own business.

there are a lot of people that dont require lessons. i spent just as much on my first guitar as anyone could buy guitar hero for. taught myself in a few MONTHS, joined one of my friend's bands, made a new one, and bought all new shit and a new computer AND a new soundboard AND a shit ton of other music and awesome stuff with prophet i made from gigs

It is pretty complicated. The first thing you need is a playstation that can play burned discs. This requires a modification like a chip or a flip-top cover which is at the least $30. Once you get that, you can go to scorehero (see my video description), sign up for the forums, and read the thread called "Idiot-proof guide to playing custom songs".

This is in GH2 and i have no idea if you can do it in GH1.
