  • Is there a global CELTA club or community, I've just finished (amazingly) my very own experience and I'm looking to hoard pleanty of experience, I'd be willing to travel somewhere far and exotic.

  • @8MicFra8. The fact you're a qualified teacher is actually a +. Find all accredited centers @ Cambridgeesol-centres . org>centres>. FYI You can actually take the course in two different places in Krakow and you pay much less than in England. The advantage of doing in London is that you have tons of schools that have different dates/fees. Some schools are more strict than others during the interview.

  • Hey! I am a native speaker of Polish language and I'm thinking about starting the CELTA course in London. I am already working in the school environment. My question are: should I mention the fact that I am a qualified teacher to the tutors or not? I am afraid that it could affect the way tutors would approach me. Am I wrong in thinking that way? Where exactly in London did you do your CELTA course? Was it full time or part time? What would you recommend? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE :)

  • @8MicFra8 Hi, yeah, u should mention it. They can tell straight away, anyways. So better be honest, they don't pass any sort of judgement if that's what u're worried about. I went to L

aguage Link in Earl's Court. Cheers xx

Thank you for your reply! I have just got 2 more questions (sorry, didn't manage to fit them all in in my first post :). I understand there were non-native speakers with you on the course. How did they do? How was the interview and the pre-course test?

  • @8MicFra8 Sorry for the belated reply. Yes, there were 4 of us. I myself am non-native. We all had to do a Language Awareness Test where we were tested mainly on grammar and phonetics. That was quite easy for us,non-natives, we actually felt we had the upper hand on the course, as we had to study English tenses, etc in school, while natives most of the time didn't have a clue about basic, let alone more advanced grammar points. It was ok, they were kind of expecting it. Sorry about late reply! x
