  • our band is doin this for the POPS & Pies concert this is gonna be fun i play the trombone!!!!!

  • we r doing this for band and i Love playing it!

  • *proud*

  • hans zimmer would be poud

  • my school did this for our christmas concert and it was amazing!!!

  • i have to play this 4 band :)

  • argh... always love what Hanz Zimmer arranged... wish there would be an orchestral concert in my country playin' his pieces...

  • @graviron

sorry dude its not hans zimmer.... its klaus badelt

  • holy crap I really liked the retardando at the end...our band kept it the same tempo and really held the last note but I think slowing it down sounds better

  • 184 people have met and sailed with Captain Jack Sparrow

  • @apaiamerica It is provided that only 5th graders+ can join an orchestra, and I highly doubt you are of the Second grade, although your arrogantness may prove it.To say we all suck is just pulling you down.So you can just shut the fu** up and continue learning "Hot Cross Buns" on the recorder. kthxbai

  • @LanaHeartsMusic So are you saying that everywhere has a minimal 5th grade requirements?

  • But Where Has The Rum Gone!

  • @apaiamerica psshh, in your freaking dreams. you might, and i MEAN MIGHT, be able too, but a whole second grade? yeeeeaaaah, no. you should really think about things before you say or type them.

  • Christ, stop the bashing in the comments already.

  • wow......second grade huh? Sure you can play this well and you had to record for your "album" because you are so "amazing" Whats your opening piece for concers? Mary had a little lamb?

  • Very good!! I like it!! Grade!!

  • wtf is everyone doing... im watching the conducer and they are a beat infront of his down beat. fucckers LOOK UP~

  • 16 people need to get a bottle of rum.

  • @FREGETW or a jar of dirt

  • @fredward503 It'll have to be a dangerous adventure to follow the Fellowship, because that's where the dirt is.

  • the trumpets also have to play out

I had to play an arrangement very similar to this and im in the 7th grade band. We have like 3x and only 2 weeks to practice it and we sounded better.

BTW. info about my school system band. the high school band (made up of freshmen-seniors) goes on a trip once a year. we normally go all over the country and also play wherever we go. people ask our directors to buy cd's cause we sound like proffesionals

  • @BeastinThe What school do you attend?

  • @DeathKnight85 actually i think you will find that Hans Zimmer set up the primary themes and then Klaus Badelt developed them further into a score as Hans Zimmer was too busy scoring another film. This is because Klaus Badelt is Hans Zimmer's protege and Hans Zimmer gave him a theme to work from and thats what Klaus Badelt did. Hans Zimmer then took over for the next installments.

  • this is good.

  • The music of this movie is by Hans Zimmer? ? ? ?

  • yes, it is.

  • @utubenotebanco ; so why it writes "John Williams" on tags?

  • their tempo is out of whack through the first minute or so. i stopped watching

  • 1st Horn was completely out at 4:30!

  • also how on earth did they recieve a standing ovation?

  • just did a music course where average age was 13, we played better than this..

  • Comment removed

  • It happens with every orchestra. The brass and percussion make the piece 10x faster than it should be!! WATCH THE CONDUCTOR!!! It's happening with our orchestra. It's not cool :L!! Xx

  • @CaptMag123 the brass and percussion wernt watching the entire time. they sped a lot

  • i knew its sounded better for orchestra !!! it sounds ok for our band though

  • we play this song in my high school pep band- I think everyone can agree it is the best! At least, I love Pirates, so this song speaks to me.

  • Good overall but unnecessarily fast, the conductor literally fast forwarding... And @metalsucks666 yes, lots of unprofessional mistakes both at tempo and intonation for such an orchestra.

  • We are playing this in our school orchestra and its going okay...

  • fabulous!!

  • this piece is easy

  • @theincridible1

    you are so wrong

  • My high school orchestra wasn't even close to this way to go

  • @PXC1234 That's a bad thing because?

  • It's kinda sad that I'm 11 years old and I can play this......perfectly.

  • i can tell the individuals must be okay but as a whole...yuck.

  • I like it :)

  • My band playes the meddallion and hes a pirate for a pep song, and this was all faster...

  • you folks know nothing about this group. we were a bunch of college grads/students, local music teachers, and high school seniors/juniors. we put everything we had into these pieces and received a standing ovation at the end and thunderous applause after every piece. i had the time of my life participating in the MSSU symphony and no negative comments will make me forget how wonderful it was to be a part of this magical night.

  • @samadams52

Okay, now THAT is impressive. And frankly, this is a really good performance. I would have loved to hear it live.

  • @samadams52 You tell them. Trust me - you guys did really well and you can tell from listening that you guys put your hearts into the pieces. Certianly a hundred times better than my high school orchestra XD You did well.

  • To all the people below my comment, it's your grammar that sucks, not this performance.

  • I'm afraid the keeping in time was pretty poor in my opinion. It did tend to be sloppy at times. I played this medley in my high school orchestra. It's really epic hehe :)

  • dam dis sucks im not kidding mai middle school band plays dis better

thumbs up if you agree band version is better than this orchestra version

  • this performance sucked ass. boooo

  • @autigerssuck why you don't do better then? I whant to see.

  • @MrDiabolo3000 why ask him? he is doing thaat just to bug people.

  • holy crap that'sgood

  • @domcosta678 u tink dis good? den u never heard wat its supposed to sound like dis is one sloppy performance

  • This recording is off. The audio is ahead of the video. It wasn't syncronized too well...

  • but it is quite good i guess :L

  • our orchestra sounds a whole lot better than this!!!!!!

  • Could the conductor be anymore out of time??

  • french horns sound so epicly beautiful

  • this video shows the importance of good conducting.

  • good enough for a person who is not a great musician i am just an ordinary man and i like it and if i like it that it sould be a little more easier for cynics to understand that the world is filled with people like me and we outnumber you and if you think that you can outnumber us....u wish!

  • These people got paid to play this? It sounds more like a high school orchestra.

  • Ahh! the french horn @ 1:00 :OOO

    so beautiful!

  • Excellent.

  • @metalsucks666 i agree, bows going in the wrong directions

  • Intro 00-00:19 too fast , lot errors with choords , very difficult to separate several csounds with a pic with violoncelle and drums 00: 46 , 00:47 , seriously it is not good...

  • @metalsucks666 i think when they mean symphony orchestra they mean high school cuz there is no way in hell they are professional. trust me i play in they orchestra and played this song twice and we did better than that

  • @luvgrl777 yes, but how many high schoolers are rocking the combover? But yes, they are so ahead of the conductor I'm kind of surprised that they're as together as they are.

  • @fizzixgrl high schoolers can do a combover. ive unfortuneately seen that at my high school, not that the people who wore it ever rocked it and made it look good. but then again i only put that seeing as i thought people seemed confused but you do make a good point with the combovers

  • i loved the sneeze solo at 4:25! It was beautiful and in perfect tune :')!

  • I thought that sounded great.

  • Pretty good playing although overall accuracy could be inproved and execution needs a bit of work too so does togetherness.

  • our school concert band plays this better than them

  • Nobody ASKED(:

  • they play like a barbecue party band :-(((

  • the school orchestra of my little brother play this wonderfull piece of music better...also much faults by the flutes and the drums are much to loud at 1:35 and the idea with the bells at 1:45 is horrible bad...exercise exercise exercise!!!!!!

  • Really bad execution

  • Some aren't playing the F flats :(

  • I love, love, love playing this in orchestra

  • The horns at 1:17 seem almost a half step above the correct note

  • In live its sounds much better..!

  • wonderful song

  • wow sometimes the trumpets really sounds like crap in this. - especially when trying to play ff/fff.

    The arr. is great tho.

  • @pkvamsdal i agree with you on the rumpets...they could use some practice but overall amazing performance

  • we have the same song arranged by ted ricketts too but for wind band

but this one sounds much better

  • wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow ma qnt è bellaa O.o *-*

  • ive been trying to look 4 this song 4 a longg time

  • spielen wir auch :D

  • Used to make love to a sensuous black man while listening to this. It was a WEIRD time in my life...but I try to not regret it.

  • wow.......um no comment i guess?

  • Well I just believe in honesty.

  • we also did this, but we don't have the string family but we still sounded pretty good..

  • Yeah, the symphonic band played it at my school in 8th grade and didn't rush nearly as much as this orchestra.

  • wow‼

  • Very good! I played this with my orchestra too. Seems like someone's sneezing at 4:24 x)

  • we are not professional, actually. we are community and college. However, we try to look professional. :)

  • 0:45 a violin came in a whole beat early!

  • ouch, that one is quite noticable when you actually listen for it.

  • oh danng... ur right. wow.

  • Oh yehhhh!

  • @jason9292 FAAAAIL

  • @jason9292 ur right and it stands out too.

  • They are professionals???

    Can´t believe it :-o

Lots of wrong notes, the timing ist bad..

they give me no feeling for the music :-(

Our wind orchestra played this medley last sunday for the first time and - although no one of us did it perfect - it sounded more like great emotional filmmusic as this.

Sorry I have to say this.

(And sorry for my not perfect english ;-))

  • You might think the timing is bad, but really it's just that the video is not audio synced. It isn't as bad as it seems.

  • No, no, I didn´t mean that...

Maybe the video isn´t sync to the audio, but that´s not the point.

Let me try to explain... I´m a musician, I saw the notes, played this song myself. So what I mean is, they sometimes don´t get the correct rhythm, the cue...

I hope this helps to understand me.

By the way - no, they aren´t so bad ;-)

(But I´d feel very uncomfortable to go on stage with a song sounding like that :-D

Oh, the perfectionists - I confess I am one...)

    ;-)

  • What's the first melody they play called? I can't find it anywhere.

  • Fog Bound

  • for a professional orchestra these guys suck... lots of notes hit too early. and yes, i have played this song in my orchsetra, exact one, so i can speak against them.

  • Comment removed

  • aha, i used to 'play' a violin and go to orchestra but y'know what, it never sounded like this.. for some reason.

    xo

  • what like?

  • I can't wait to play this song!!...Its going to be awesome!...

    (cello player)

  • I am an honors class viola, just love this song. We are playing it for 5th graders visiting campus.

  • were doing this one for fun, the best part is that i get a tenor sax solo XP

  • 4:26 someone sneezed

    @___@

  • I'm so happy they're coming out with a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean! I can't wait! I love the characters everyone plays!

I can't wait for Alice's Adventures in Wonderland done my Tim Burton! I just can't wait! ;P

  • apparently they've cut the rest of the cast and its just going to be like centered around jack.. and keira knightly didnt want to do it anyway. i mean, come on, how many other people want her job? :|

    xo

  • When I sang (awfully) in the massive school choir thingymibob at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, the orchestra played POTC, it was phenomenal. I was agape. :)

This is pretty darned good too.

    But Glasgow one was unbelievable.

  • wow that high trumpet was amazing!!!! and i cant believe my middle school 7th and 8th grade band has to play it like this :O

  • Very nice!

  • Nice performance, i played this same medley last night in a concert, my only complaint is the low brass on to the pirates cave, that could have been much more powerful.

  • gahh im still trying to find mp3 file for this version but no luck...

    great performance... dramatic :D

  • This is just awesome. Enjoyed every bit of it

  • Nice.. this is about as close to the movie as you can get.

  • I want to be in this orchestra :(

  • At the beginning of Fog Bound, whoever had the the triplet and eighth notes to play could've played it in 3rd position...I only know this because my orchestra played this for our final concert. The group playing this still sounded great, though.

  • i agree

i am in second violin and i am playing this piece

its much easier in 3rd position

  • i like this

  • Unser Jugendorchester ist besser, viel größer und vor allem spielen sie mit Herz und Seele. Am 22.06.08 werden wir es in Rüsselsheim erleben. Ich freue mich auf diesen Tag.

  • this is amazing! awsome!

  • simply phenomenal! i love it
