No, they think that people who carry a dark image with them, such as jack white, are emo because that is traditionally the image that emo people carry with them. Jack White isn't emo, but it can be easy to think he is emo, especially if you haven't seen many pictures of him. Also Jack White can look kind of evilish at times, and that is also something most emo people look like. If that makes sense.
